Mod weapon balancing.

Alright, so I run a lot of armor and weapon mods. I also run SkyRe. Now, my Reproccer pretty much just crashes whenever I try to use it. It's old, and I've looked around, there doesn't seem to be any good way to fix the Reproccer. Now, it's my understanding that the Reproccer is supposed to balance all my weapon and armor mods, and looking at the Reproccer patch in TES5Edit, it certainly does bump up damage values for many of the vanilla weapons. Now, this has left all my mod weapons as, well, kind of useless. I don't want them overpowered, I just want them to be equivalent to my vanilla weapons. It kind of sucks to have a few hundred cool and realistic weapons that I can't really use because they're all underpowered. I also don't want to disable the reproccer patch because my game is balanced in a way that I am very happy with.

So, my question is, does anyone know where to point me so that I can learn to manually balance my weapons? I honestly am not even entirely sure what I would type in to google this subject. Is this something I can do by making a patch in TES5Edit? How exactly do I know what to change and how much to change it?

well , you could do that is TES5Edit

how to do this is basically to create a new plugin , and have it edit the damage stat of the weapons in question

on how much to buff , you can look at how specific items were buffed (you can see the original value and the new values) , and balance the other items according to this and your understanding (so items that are supposed to be Ebony should be buffed like Ebony weapons , as an example)

 

however , I think the best thing you could do right now is to try and fix your SkyRe installation

I would guess you are running the latest version of the mod , but you should try and debug the issue (maybe look at the comments of the SkyRe page and the Reproccer page , I'm sure people have encountered similar issues)

if you really can't fix this , making the plugin yourself shouldn't be too difficult at all , if you need more specific instructions feel free to ask
