GoodfellowGoodspring
How about marrying for love and marry Fastred? She only needs a mod and she will jump into your bed! ;)
xlcr
hi Bellaboo1441, you could probably lookup marriage candidate skills/training/etc 'benefits' whatever here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followersi've married Lydia twice (guess i'm a sentimental faithful type); if i do another playthru, might go for hottie Jordis the Sword-Maiden (like her voice) or huntress Aela (tough tomboy type) or maybe hottie Lisette (music bard).my choices are strictly for aesthetic reasons and to experience different voice actresses/dialog, some have interesting past history/lore also. i don't need a follower/spouse to provide training/money, these seem easy enough to discover in skyrim, and skills get balanced when leveling up or can be compensated for with enchanted/tempered gear. There are spouse/follower NPC's specifically designed with preset skill levels to compliment your chosen player class type.Another difference between non-housecarl marriagable NPC's are that some own businesses which might be fun.anyway, that's my 2-septims worth lol. xlcr
off topic, someone on this forum hated Maven Black-Briar so much he was going to use console to make her marriable; then, subject her to all sorts of twisted masocistic torture and exact his revenge. Is Maven being a 'bad' person a benefit?
shuriken88
LOL I'm nearly at level 40 and still nobody in MY game has mentioned, or even HINTED at anything to do with marriage! Do you have to get to a certain stage of the main questline or something before "I command you to marry me" dialogue options become available? I even have the Lydia Can Be Married mod. JesterKing
There are several things you need to do actually. 1) speak with Maramil in Riften. He is a priest at the temple you may also find him at the Bee and Barb in Riften. Talk to all his conversation topics. It will come up. Buy an AMULET OF MARA from him for 200 septims. 2) Where amulet of mara and speak to someone marriable. They will say they are interested in you. You tell them "Hey, sexy, there's a party in my pants and your invited." Or something like that... 3) arrange wedding with Marimil in riften. your wedding will be held the next day from dawn until dusk. So it's ok to show up next day at say noon. Hope I helped. By the way I believe the best person to marry is Jarl Elisef The Fair of Solitude so I can roleplay co-ruling with her. It gives a reason to hate Ulfric even more. But you have to use a few console commands to do this.
