Fix for existing skeleton mesh

Hello everyone! I wanted to put this request up as it appears the author of the mod in question is no longer providing support for his mod. This tweak request is for someone to fix the existing skeletonfat.nif skeleton file (found in this mod) so that the headtracking is correct. As of the current skeleton, the head rolls around on the neck for no apparent reason, which makes a mod with great potential much more sterile. If anyone would be willing to do this for me, I would be eternally grateful (especially with kudos ;) ). I honestly don't think this would be a very difficult fix, but nonetheless it is something I unfortunately lack the technical "know-how" to do. Please let me know if you would be willing to do this for me!

Sadly this isn't "fix"able. To make peoples' bodies fat or skinny additional scale bones were added into the bone chain from Bip01 Scene Root up to Bip01 Head. This breaks the hardcoded IK chain required for the headtracking to work and can't be fixed, thus the name hardcoded.

- One could fix headtracking now by removing those scale bones, but this would render the body meshes (minus arms and the like) unresizeable.

- One could turn off headtracking in the Oblivion.ini and this annoyance won't happen anymore, but there won't be any headtracking anymore either.

This is actually a known issue of those kinds of mods and was driving me crazy myself already countless times in the past. I want headtracking and I want additional bones inbetween those... but I can't have both at the same time thanks to the hardcoded game mechanics.

Oh, well. If anybody figures out a way how to fix this regardless, I'm all ears for the solution!

Ah, yes, before anybody asks, headtracking is when NPCs or you look at each other or at you. The calculations for this are hardcoded and only work when the chain from the root bone to the head is unaltered.

Drake, you mentioned being able to remove said scale bones, how would one go about removing them? Is it something that can be done in nifskope?

Also, what exactly do you mean by "unresizable"? I apologize for such a dumb question, but I was a bit confused when I read it.

It sure can be done in NifSkope, but to play safe I'd prefer doing it in Blender all times.

I'd just modify the parents of each of the main spine bones etc. so the scale and rescale bones are out of the chain again, then delete these.

"Unresizable" means without the additional scale and rescale bones before and after each of the spine bones the body meshes rigged to them can't be scaled anymore, no fat or skinny bodies anymore, apart from arms and legs, quite besides the point of what the skeleton was designed for in the first place. That's why I said it isn't really fixable, as you'd be removing the intended function in the process.
