Bacae
So, working from even a vanilla install besides Darnified UI, no mods, no nothing besides FOMM archive invalidation on, I keep having random CTD in Goodsprings. It only happens when I try and fast travel there, or go outside it seems. So for the entirety of the tutorial I have to make sure to save inside buildings before I go outside or I'll crash. I once saved outside and it wouldn't let me reload the save without a CTD on the loading screen. It's extremely annoying. I've tried verifying the cache integrity, I've tried making new files. It's just downright infuriating that I can't seem to fix this. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it work better?
Qualanqui
That's a pretty curly one maybe try NVEC (NV Error Corrections) might remove anything that may be tripping you up or maybe start your game through the launcher see if it's an .ini issue
Bacae
I've launched it through the launcher, through NVSE, and have had NVEC installed since I started the new game. Still happens regardless whenever I try and go to Goodsprings, or whenever I approach it from the south usually. I even looked through FNVedit in case there was a conflict with Goodsprings somewhere, somehow. Just nothing. May just be one of those bad luck things who knows. StormbringerGT
Do you have and mods installed, but just unchecked their esp or esm files though?
Bacae
@Strom: No, I used FOMM and FOMODs, so it would completing remove the files associated with the mods as well as the ESPs, plus I tried from a purely vanilla install, no mods whatsoever. Plus the game runs perfectly fine everywhere else, besides the usual hiccups. But Goodsprings? Instant death every time it seems.
