that is my request. SO! are YOU awesome enough to port the AR2?

Err, you do realise it's illegal to port stuff from a game without permission, right? I mean GSC (who own the rights as well as having made the games) said it's fine for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but I doubt Valve would agree.

 

Also the Ar2 is horribly and nonsensically designed, it was meant to be a flare gun (notice each 'mag' is a single charge loaded from an actually much larger magazine round the side of the gun) but then the weaapon was cut for being useless. In the wake of the leaked version, the AK47 and OICW were cut, so the combine needed a full size 'assault rifle' weapon and the new themes called for something less human, so they reused the weapon model. It's reasonably pretty as far as 3D work from 2004 goes, but it's not a design that makes any sense for what it's meant to be.

I actually started work one time on making an AR2 from scratch...didn't get very far, but I might have another go :P
