[LE] How do I get rid of floating LOD trees

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am working on my own small town mod called 'Hazelgate Village' that used the border to Cyrodiil I deleted the doors at the bordergate and had a trail leading down the land a ways down the hillside to my small town where it makes it easier to view the Imperial City Tower. Down a little further I have a four house village where three of the houses have been damaged by falling trees.

I then found on Nexus the 'Beyond Skyrim; Bruma' mod but it uses the same bordergate that I use in mine. I decided that I was going to move my mod and rebuild at the bordergate by Riften. go southeast to the road behind Riften leading to the "dayspring" door for Dawnguard. Keep going along the road you come to the bordergate that I now want to set my mod at.

Now to my question; When I am back looking at the bordergate everything is fine, but at a certain spot when I turn around there are floating green LOD trees that disappear as soon as I move the camera but the almost make a line cover the path making it hard to see until you walk through the line of trees. Down the path that I want to create there are a few more of them but not as bad.

How can I get rid of these trees so it won't look bad?

With all the mods out there where you can pass the border and put a city; I feel that this is the only bordergate left not being used. I am also hoping that when Beyond Skyrim;Morrowind is ready that they don't use the bordergate I'm talking about. lol

Thank you

If you plant new trees and then in the CK generate lods for them, they will float, its a bug with the kit.

You need to install Tes5edit, load your mod in it, apply filter for cleaning and run the tree lod patcher script.

As for your border issue, there's some good "over the border" real estate almost everywhere in Skyrim

you don't have to use a border gate already there, copy the models and paste them anywhere you like

and terraform the terrain to suit your idea and vision.

Forget about the Cyrodiil and Morrowind vanilla gates, and create your own.

In game, go to a border refion similar to what you see in your head and type:

tfc

in the console and fly about checking out the border regions

tcl would be better as the terrain will load fully as you fly over it.

I have a really great place to make my new border crossing for my mod as Beyond uses that old cyrodiil gate

I would like to move my mods crossing as it just saves a heap of headaches later with mod conflicts.
