Help needed with enchanting mod

I'm completely new to TES modding and I want to try making an effect stackable when enchanting if you have the Extra Effect perk. (If you know this is impossible please tell me).

However, I can't seem to find where the appropriate menu or script to edit is in the CK. Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

Also, if someone have already made a mod for this, please tell me (couldn't find one).

I can see this is not getting much attention, so I'll add what I've tried/found out to see if that might give some idea of what I'm trying.

I checked out CraftingEnchantingWorkbench, which doesn't have any scripts attached from what I can see. This leads me to believe that

the enchanting menu is triggered through the players interaction with the workbench. But this is where I get no further. I have no idea where to look,

and looking blindly has only lead me a dozen different ways. All scripts that i can find by filtering by "ench" are of no help, and the same for "craft".

Some leads point to WorldInteractionsScript, but that seems to be all about quests. My best guess is that I'm looking for some script that extends Message,

but thats not much to go by.

Are there anyone who can help me out here? I have learned a lot about how Skyrim works, but I've not accomplished what I tried to do yet.

Is there a chance that I'm looking in the entirely wrong places? Is there some menu in the CK I'm really supposed to use? Help!

I am not entirely sure about making an enchantment stackable, but it is possible to make a brand new enchantment. At the object window, find magic > enchantments then just either right click new or duplicate then edit.

Yea, I figured that out, but it seems way to inelegant i.m.o. What I really want is for it to work by editing the menu with a button to double the magnitude/uses if you have Extra Effects and just one effect selected, or something similar to that.

But thanks for the reply anyways :)

The game nor the creation kit from my experience does not allow an enchantment to be placed on the same item twice but by creating a new enchantment, you can change the value of say EnchFortifyArchery06 which is 40 to (new ench name) with a value of 80 and name the enchantment say Fortify Double Archery. Although this adds the possibility of exploit in that one could just (with the extra effect perk) have the Fortify Double Archery enchantment along with a Fortify Strongarm (double one handed) enchantment. you could make a new perk after the extra effect perk which doubles the power of an enchantment but only allows one to be placed on that item so by sacrificing a second enchantment, your first is doubly powerful. When you go to enchant an item, if you select a second enchantment the perk is not used, however if you select only one, then the perk applies. Thats just my ideas on how you might do what you wanted and have it be something that could actually exist in the game.

That perk would work great with my super enchanting mod I am trying to make. I made new enchantments that are ment to be the only one applies to a piece of armor because its effects are everything you think you might need.

The new perk idea might work somewhat like I wanted this to work. I'll try it out and see if is satisfactory. Thanks for the idea.
