Somehow... it's getting annoying...

Reminds me of the good ol' question: "PC games vs Console games, what's better?"

PC games have mods, Console games have less/no bugs...

Sometimes Oblivion makes me feel like wanna kill somebody .___.

The featured issue today... makes no sense at all... :wallbash:

I didn't changed anything for my Oblivion, except adding ONE questmod (TOTF).

There was nothing changed in the LO, nor any filechanges besides adding this mod.

And I doubt, that TOTF causes my unique problem.

Well, what happend you'd might ask.

"Two things" I have two say.

The first thing:

http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/3073/screenshot0ec4.th.jpg

Looks quiet normal you may think, but actually: There should be the containerscreen on this screenshot.

I can't harvest any containers, because that stupid "select what to loot" screen won't sho up! :wallbash:

I've to press Esc to be able to move again...

Looting corpses works as always.

My first guess was some overwritten UI-Files, so I reinstalled my UI (DarkUI) - didn't help.

I figured out that the Harvest Containers mod was somewhat broken.

The "container-screen" is shown as normal when this mod is disabled, but who wants to play w/o one of the best mods made for Oblivion?

Reinstalling Harvest Containers didn't help - and I've no idea WTF happend...

You may think know "Sounds just like a bad mod problem, why posting it here?"

Well, I've another problem...

The second thing:

When I'm closing Oblivion... it crashes/freezes.

I've heard of this problem before (occurs with the UOP if I'm not mistaken), but never had it myself.

(UOP is as adviced ontop the LO)

Most of the time these problem is so hard (don't know if this is correct english  ), that even the Taskmanager won't show up and I've to reset my computer via the R-button

This makes no sence after all! :wallbash:

One mod can't be responsible for both problems and Harvest Containers worked fine untill a few hours... and I had never such horrible "crashing while closing"-problems...

I need seriously help T____T

Reinstalling Oblivion and all mods is the last thing I want to do...

I just want to play as... yeah, I did yesterday... no crashing when closing Oblivion and a working Harvest Containers...

"PC games vs Console games, what's better?"

PC games have mods, Console games have less/no bugs...

Lies. All lies. There have been many bugged console games in the past. Before patching Oblivion for 360 was bugged to hell (especially with SI). Most console games however don't have the luxary of some sort of patch being released, so tend to undergo a more lengthy testing process prior to release. PC games however can be patched, and patched frequently, this has allowed some companies to cut costs by releasing a slightly less refined product early, then releasing a patch for it a few weeks later.

Both of which are entirely beside the point since you are using mods. Mods are not made by professionals, and although many are of professional quality, there are those which are buggy, and can't ever become not buggy. Mods are also rather dependant on who is using them. A mod can either stop working or totally screw up your game just because you didn't understand what was being changed by that mod, or didn't install it right. Where there are conflicts, there is a chance for problems to occur. Mod makers cannot always avoid conflicts, mod users can. Meaning that when a problem happens due to conflicts between mods, it is not the fault of the mod maker, but instead it is YOUR fault for not being aware of what YOUR installed mods do, and making sure that precautions have been made. Although rare, one small conflict can cause very significant problems.

Disable TOTF, whatever the heck that is, and try again. One mod could be causing this if it happens to have some sort of scripting conflict with harvest containers. You might also want to run everything through OBMM's conflict detector to see if anything pops up.

TOTF = Tears Of The Fiend

And OF COURSE I disabled this mod as the first thing at all!

Didn't help - if it would, there wouldn't be that thread in here :(

Don't know what hppend exactly, but the problem is solved.

Maybe there was a reboot needed.

Some containers in Pell's Gate are still buggy, but the whole rest works fine.
