Le Santyr
I think a Minotaur race definately needs to be added, they'd be thick as poo and have poor magic capabilities but they'd be ace, and good to look at if done right... Also as said before Golems would be a good addition to the magic creatures, just stone n metal really(?) I'd like to see some sort of Dwarf or Halfling, but it obviously doesn't fit with the nations history! Maybe some half elf breed, cos u know some of them Imperial guards have been bending some of them elves over in their little huts! http://www.slightly-twisted.com/bb/images/smiles/icon-shaggin.gif
Mr J
Going back to the breif idea about a dog race, and sand dune types, what about a egyptian god type dog people, aggressive and warlike, yet loyal, but poor at magic. Not much intelligence, but fantastic agility, speed and short blade skills. They could look feirce (rottweillers types), or noble. :shifty:
Smashy
ok heres a few races that would make morrowind a very interesting/ even more dengerous place... ok first, the introduction of the Yak-Folk(from D&D monster manual II v3.5) to morrowind, their alot like Minatours, but slightly more peaceable, their fur is black and far longer than that of their Minatour cousins, they stand about 9-10ft tall, very heavily muscled, and supriseingly adept in the magiks, but not the fastest or most gracefull creatures around. next, like others have stated before, new argoinans, or the replacement of argonians with Lizardmen, or Lizard-Folk, and for you warhammer junkies out there (like me!) the Saurus.... infact the argonians are so pittiful in aperance that i belive a kobold throwing a temper-tanrum is more menaceing than an an argonian... thirdly,DROW!!!! screw the dunmer just use the Drow for god sakes, their cooler, darker, and have alot more character than those pain in the arse dunmer. mabey an insectile race, ive been useing an Insectile-Lizardman in D&D for a while now and its soo much fun to play, its natrual ability to climb is nearly unsurpassed, i think if Insectile assasins from the dark brotherhood came after you, you would be more careful where you would sleep and wach your restore health potion supply more often. a snake race... almost like the yuan ti, what can i say it would be interesting halfeind (half deadra) halfcelestial dwarf (NOT DWEMER) halfling GNOMES!!!!!! LONG LIVE THE SHORT AND MISCHGIVEOUS SPELL CASTERS!!!!! goblins gnolls(not playable) centuars sayters more feindish and infernal creatures, imps, quasits, etc. (notice i play alotta D&D?) well i could go on for hours about what odd races would make morrowind better, but i feel ives listed enough. Mr J
I like the idea about Saurus, but hasn't anyone noticed the blatant rip off of Raymond E Feists Saur race from the Serpentwar saga.Hmmm.... anyone also noticed that theres a place called Caldera with a mine and a place in Feists riftwar saga called Caldara. Caldara mines anyone?OK, so I going off the subject, but Feist has some excellent creatures that would fit right into Morrowind. Rifts are opened by great magicians leading to worlds full of bizarre races, so something like this could fit into the Elder Scrolls storyline and world to open the floodgates to any race.Feist comes up with some good 'uns, how about Tsurani? Japanese style mad fighters, great with two handed swords, or they also have black robed magicians with ridiculously powerful magic. They also fight alongside insect-like centaur creatures who use tactics, can scale walls and fight with VERY large weapons! Then you'v got Serpent preists, Keshian Dog soldiers (who aren't dogs btw), and so many others from all his other books!Read Feists books for ideas on new races and ways to sneak them into Tamriel. It would work a treat! New mod idea anyone?

Darkh Templar
Dragons. I know it's very Horizon-like, but think it would pretty cool. It would be nice to fly above the blight storms and throw I'm-gonna-kill-the-dragon-and-take-all-his-treasure type hero against the walls of Imperial forts. Or a demon race. With wings of course. Ancalagon
Well, for one thing, none of the races in MW strike fear into my heart when I am faced to do battle with them...nor do they utterly repulse me. I mean, come on, the Argonians look utterly ridiculous as well as the Khajits. I say if they plan on making a beast-race, then make a beast-race that would frighten you (remember the remake of 'The Island of Dr. Moreau' ? with Val Kilmer? the beast-folk in that movie scared the hell out of me...). Also, I would sugest for Bethseda to fire the slacker who did the race models for MW; and hire Rhedd, since he is obviously better and the race models (or heads for that matter) look absolutley stunning. When compared (Rhedd's Heads) to the original heads I always wonder just what the hell Bethseda was thinking when they hired that other guy. But again, to reiterate my opinion of a new race, I would say a sort of mechanical race. It would be interesting to see what sort of society would develop, since they would obviously be more advanced than any of the other races. You could make them compassionate stewards for all other forms of life, or make them brutal tyrants abusing their technology and enslaving or eradicating the other races whom they view as 'inferior'. Even better, have the mechanical race share these two agendas, (like make two seperate factions or houses much like the Dark Elves). It would bear some more in-depth explaining for what I am envisioning, but I'm lazy and have to prepare for a World War I discussion tommorrow :P
