There is one mod available at the time of this posting but it requires Beast Master to function, which I have never been able to get working with Universal Companion Framework. UCF is the multiple follower mod that seems to work best for me, except for this one exception. Would it be possible for anyone to make a mod that converts the new dogs to followers without using Beast Master? Or create some patch that makes UCF and Beast Master compatible?
