Hi!

Hey everyone! I'm Jon. I've been downloading mods off of the Nexus for some time now (like, half a year maybe?) but, aside from a few posts in the "comments" sections of certain mods, I haven't really been very active on here. I've decided to change that.

 

So, anyway, who am I? I am a gamer who's not exactly that experienced yet. I picked up the Oblivion GOTY edition off of Steam for $5 back when Skyrim came out (because my laptop couldn't handle Skyrim) and I liked it so much that I saved up the money to buy a new computer and Skyrim. I've been hooked ever since. I use Steam for most of my games, and my gaming range is mostly limited to Fantasy RPG's, although I have been enjoying games like The Sims 3 and League of Legends as well. I guess you could call me kind of a casual gamer, I play games pretty much purely for fun, even when I'm playing something online, like LoL or Team Fortress 2. I'm also a Magic, The Gathering player, though I haven't been to an FNM in a long time, due to our store closing down (luckily, there's a new one opening this summer, so hooray!)

 

I'm a huge creature fanatic, meaning that I love looking at, fighting, and summoning cool creatures in games. I love Morrowind for it's almost alien wildlife, like Nix Hounds, and Alit (my favorite creature in that game is probably the Kagouti) and I love Skyrim for adding Dragons to the series (I'm also a huge dragon fan). I'm one of those people who, once they get into a movie series, or a book series, or a video game series, or pretty much any interest or hobby, they have to know EVERYTHING about that interest. I've spent a lot of time studying up on lore from all kinds of games, especially the Elder Scrolls. I spent so many late nights when I was younger reading Lord of the Rings wikis. One of my favorite book series right now is Game of Thrones.

 

I'm a bit of a writer, although I'm rather lazy, and haven't written anything recently. I'm also a bit of an artist, I draw various things. I'm in High School, which I feel slightly uncomfortable sharing on here, as I've found on some other forums I've been on that some members will just write me off as another idiot kid who doesn't know anything about anything, which might be the case in some areas, but certainly not everything.

 

Anyway, I'll be on here pretty erratically. I could be posting constantly for a few weeks, and then drop off the face of the earth for a month, but I'm pretty excited to be here and I hope that I can get to know some of you and have fun talking about the games that we love.
