stormdrooper1
My normal Oblivion disc died the other day and I was wondering if i could just go and buy the Shivering Isles and use that disc. Would this work or will I need the original disc at some point? cheers

Sarya
I'm sorry, but you'll have to buy a new one.

Vagrant0
You're really best off just buying a new one, although you can use a no-CD crack* without problems, should you ever need to reinstall or fix a problem, you would be unable to do so with your disc as it is. You may even want to considder just buying the GOTY version. then you get SI and KotN in addition to replacing your CD. For future reference, many companies allow you to make a copy of the CD or DVD for personal uses. So long as you don't start lending it out to friends, there is no problem with doing so. As Oblivion was one of those games I saw myself using for a few years, I've been using that copied CD to play from, while the original sits safely in the box keeping my Septim coin company. firefable
i advise you make a .iso from the new disk, so that when it dies, you can just keep playing without a worry in the world. Use "daemon tools" to mount it
stormdrooper1
This is great advice, thanks, I looked at GOTY edition and the price is actually very good for what it contains, and i will definitely be making a copy of it when i get it cheers for the help :) :thanks:
