lantanovic
A pretty big new city that I have been working on for quite some time now is soon finished. Here is some information about the city:The city is called Dorthonia, and has a history as a centre for trading in Tamriel. Dorthonia has its geographic location on an island outside of Anvil, and you have to travel there by a ship that you can find in the Anvil Dock.Dorthonia has one dock, with a little marketplace next to it, that is stationed outside the citywalls.Once inside, there is around 50-60 npcs, everything from drunkpeople, hanging at the Dragonfly Inn or at the House of Pleasure, to fancy people who dont want any mud on their cloth. The city is ruled by a count and his countess, but in past is has been ruled by the cathedral who wants the power back. You can found various stores, a cathedral, a castle, lots of buildings, and lot of nature. Now, besides everything that's static that I havnt told yet, there will be a lot of quests too.Everything from helping a lovergirl, to a huge mainquest, which I wont spoil for you yet. There will be new topics to each and every Npc, with new vocalrecordings. The recuirments for this one is the latest Oblivion Patch, and Exnems Eye Candy. And of course this mod.I dont know exactly how many hours of gameplay this will be. Feel free to ask questions, and maybe if you want to help along with scripting the quests that I have left, to make this finish faster.

lantanovic
Release date? Will I have to disable the "borders" in order to get to your city? Can you post some screenshots? Release date is hard to say. I have still vocalrecordings and some quests to do, and some finetuning of the enviorment to do.No, in order to get to Dorthonia, you get onboard on the ship, and simple enter the cabin door, and then you come out of the cabin in the Dorthonia Dock. Maybe I will improve that later on, but I dont think its worth to waste any time on that, dont you think? Sure, I will jump in and take some now. lantanovic
nice :O I'll download it when it's done :) Thanks:) Yeah I hope you do.These quests is done based on what kind of quests I like to do.For example, I loved doing the thieves guild, so in this one their will be a lot of quests where you will have to spy on people, and reeeally listen to what they say to figure out clues. And of course I have for example catacombs where you will come in to a great hall with 8 doors in front of you. One of them leads you to the right way, so if you havnt listen well when you have talked to Npcs, you may take one of the seven doors witch will lead you in the middle of a hall with 60 zombies, and 4 doors, 3 locked, and 1 who will take you back to the 8 door room. MotS
please don't place 60 zombies in one small room. it'll lag like hell :( use ~10 very strong ones instead. btw: i'm one of those players who always clean out the other rooms first ^^
lantanovic
please don't place 60 zombies in one small room. it'll lag like hell :( use ~10 very strong ones instead. btw: i'm one of those players who always clean out the other rooms first ^^ The thing is that the room isnt that small :) Its a pretty large hall in the catacombs. And the lightning is very low, just some torches hanging from the walls at some places. So you wont be able to see the zombies until they are close to you, or standing in front of the torches light. So you can infact just hear them. I want it to be scary, not just a wall to slash thru. When I tried it the first time, i got kind of claustrofobic. And it didnt lag at all, just because of the limited light resourse. And hey, the zombies are strong as hell. So you dont want to get into a fight with them, unless you cheat and low the Difficulty;)
zeralesaar
Nice. I'll watch for the release, it looks good. Islands are always fun, because no matter where you go, you've always got a great view of the sea. Yay, sea! On the note of the door of the boat, a simple tweak you could use to boost the immersion a littler bit is to make a new formID for boatdoor01, give it the name "Voyage" or something similar, and use that in place of the "Wooden Door" you've currently placed. I do that with the boats on my "ZL Celestial Sea" mod, mainly because I'm still foggy on the concepts of quests and the dialogue system
