Skyrim SE CTD on load. HELP PLS!

This is like my 30eth time modding Skyrim but my 1st time that I can't figure out why its CTD... Some mods are from ingame mod menu, some are from Nexsus... I had all of these mods installed before reinstallation. If someone could help, I'll appreciate it.

A lot of people are having problems with RaceMenu and I think many of them are deleting it.

XPMSSE needs to be up to date (see the comments on that mod page)

You donât need the Bijin ESPs active if you have the AIO mod (see mod page description)

Still crashes... I disabled RaceMenu and Bijin ESPs... XPMSSE is up to date... I don't understand... WTF?!?!?!

In some cases, simply disabling the .esp file won't help. You have to uninstall the mod. This is especially true for mods containing .dll files, like Racemenu does. If it is really the "culprit", only uninstalling the mod and all its components would help.

 

BTW, I noticed, that you got an .esp file for "lanterns of Skyrim". If I'm not mistaken, the mod also uses an .esm file, which I don't see in your load order. I could be wrong, but maybe something to check.

The lanterns are working, although not correctly but good enough for me. I'll try uninstalling the RaceMenu tomorrow. Thank you for suggestions, will keep you updated. <3

As for Racemenu: There IS an alternative: ECE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12302

IMHO not as flexible as Racemenu, but it maybe will save you some headache while still providing you with something far superior to the Vanilla Chracter creation menu...

 

You can also try to install Racemenu right. :cool: Basically, Racemenu WORKS. There's a problem with "Alpha 6", but "Alpha 5" works just fine (at least for me).

 

You just have to keep in mind a few things:

For Racemenu, you'll need

- current version of the game (1.5.39)

- the matching version of SKSE (2.07), download it from www.silverlock.org

 

Besides that, you need to exactly follow some steps installing Racemenu. The following tutorial was made for an earlier version, but the procedure still works exactly as described and demonstrated in the video:

To stop Racemenu from crashing just use XPMSSE version 4.20 as the bug is with the new XPMSSE version
