Beautyful face?

I find the face textures for the HGEC body replacer (there is a specific download for Ren's Mystic Elves) to make a wonderful difference for the Mystic Elves, a race I've never bothered with much. With those textures, I myself use the Mystic Elves again.

Even if you use Exnem's body, you can use the face textures at least.

I find the masculine Mystic Elf face easier to work with. The feminine face's mouth is what bugs me, because they look to have a sort of overbite by defualt. If you turn the head to view the profile, you'll notice this on the lips. I'd start with that.

Also, I'd make the eyes a bit smaller, more realistic, and not so huge and anime-like (nothing against anime).

Narrow the jawline a little. Default faces tend to have wide jawlines, which usually aren't flattering and too masculine. Note that this can cause a lot of cilpping with hair through the ears.

Eyelashes make a vast difference. I highly recommend them on any custom race, as they are supported with with many custom races out there. The mod includes a readme with detailed instructions for how to add the lashes to a custom race. They make the eyes stand out, and also make for a more natural looking character.

Those are just the little things I do myself to make a huge difference. There are some more major pointers others I bet can make for you, but a lot of it is up to your own tweaking to make a unique face of your own. Use picture references and imagine the general shape of a person's face, and compare what's exagerrated and needs fixing on your character's face.

I hope that helps. If nothing else, face textures make a vast difference. HGEC and Exnem's both have face texture sets with compatibility for Mystic Elves as far as I know.
