Ekkoe
Hey guys, I posted this here and in the mod-specific thread because I'd like to get this solved. First quick apology for being the guy that begs for help on his seventh post. I tried sending a message directly to Skycaptain (with some hesitation because he'd be busy too), but his inbox was full (proving that he was indeed busy), so I decided to go to the thread instead. Now that I'm here, I will look around to see if I can find some other people who need help, so that I'm adding to the community rather than just begging for help right away. The problem: I have about 25 mods activated in the game. Those that are part of Deadly Reflexes 4.03 are:- Deadly Reflex - Timed Block + Higher Damage.esp- Mounted_Spellcasting Deadly Reflex Compatible.esp- Deadly Reflex - Combat Moves.esp- Deadly Reflex - Breathing Motion & Head Bobbing.esp- Deadly Reflex Bow Sway.esp In that load order, at the bottom of the loading list. The only mods that could cause conflict are MMM and perhaps Midas' Magic Spells of Aurum, aside from that I have no overhauls or combat mods. The game starts just fine and upon start-up, I get the regular "Please select a key for..." screen, but whatever key I press, it doesn't work. The game just continues to run as if this was never asked. There's no further influence of DR 4.03 whatsoever; I don't have that inventory item and I read something about a spell and figured that might be new in 4.03, as where a spell resets your moves, but I couldn't find that one in my spell list either. I hope you can help me out, because for the time being, I had a lot of fun with your mod. Some other practical information would be that MMM was installed before DR 4.03, and that I have no visual problems with it and the game runs just fine aside from ignoring DR's presence. Thanks for reading and I hope you guys can help me out. Regards, Peter aka Ekkoe
janosaudron222
I am baseing this souly upon what I have read in other forums. It sounds like you don't have OBSE or a current version if you do have it...Or it's not working properly.

It sounds like you don't have OBSE or a current version if you do have it...Or it's not working properly. Sorry, should have mentioned, I do have OBSE, the latest. It could not be working properly... but I use OBMM which claims to automatically launch it for me, so... If there's any other suggestions, please do post. I'll check tomorrow if it's an OBSE problem. janosaudron222
Well with my OBSE I find that sometiems it stops working for an unkown reason.(I have Curse of Hicrine, it lets me know when i start up the game if it's a script failure, since the werewolves use the extended scripts) I just reinstall it, replaceing the existing files and it works fine after that. Ekkoe
I made such a ridiculous and noobish mistake I barely feel like coming clean :P The folder was Bethesda/Oblivion/0015. I hadn't unpacked OBSE. For God sakes :P Thanks for the help and sorry for hogging up your time with my ridiculous problems xD
phantomi501
OBMM does launch the OBSE automatically, so there is no problem with that....this also happened to me once...it fixed itself so i dont know how to fix this just saying that OBMM does launch OBSE so dont worry about that...check its the latest OBSE
freezip65
Try launching from the OBSE launcher, as opposed to OBMM. I launch from OBSE and it works fine. In addition, you may have installed it wrong, and the game cannot find the animations because they are not in the proper place. That's just an educated guess though, I'm not an expert or anything.
