luceid
... no one ever made a fix or something like that for that "problem".So I guess it's impossible to fix. An Example:http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/9499/screenshot59vz2.th.jpg Is there any way to reduce this "mud"?AA doesn't seem to enhance the sharpness very much and brings a big FPS-hit :(
Vagrant0
Distant textures will always become a bit blurry because some resolution has to be lost due to the distance. Turn AA off, Anti-Aliasing is a process which blends pixels together when there is too much difference. On closer textures it's good, on distant textures it just turns everything to mush. You might also want to use some of the ground shading around lightposts, buildings, sidewalks, trees, rocks and the like. It can make a huge difference and help blend things together a bit better. You may even want to make the street textures your using a bit more varied, the same texture everywhere tends to result in things looking too plain, and makes this issue you have more obvious. The blurryness has more to do with what angle you're looking at it than how far away it is, and cannot actually be solved no matter what you do. Go take a look down the street sometime, unless you're at the bottom of a hill, the road in the distance, even 10-20 feet in front of you isn't as clear as the road right at your feet, or at the bottom of your vision when looking straight ahead. Weather, lighting, lighting methods, can also play a part in this.
