NMM will not load mods in game

I have this issue where NMM will load absolutely no mods at all, despite being installed and activated.

 

On top of that, when I install new mods it changes a plugin file located in C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Skyrim adding an extra line of text that causes the game to crash.

 

Right now the only way i can get Mods to work is manually installing them, but NMM is so much more efficient in mod management that I'd really any help on what I'm doing wrong :[
