ffsiwannainstallamod
You must have first downloaded the Main Download. Extract it into your Skyrim data folder (this should be your Steam folder\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\) or use the Nexus Mod Manager to install it. This will install the mod with the default Clean textures with pubic hair. If you have done this correctly the mod should work ingame without any other hassle. i did what it says, i unziped to my skyrim data folder c:/program files x86/steamsteamapps\common\skyrim\Data\ should the new files overwright some old files? windows is not asking me to overwrite any files when i copy it across in my skyrim data folder is only 3 folders called 'Interface' 'Strings' and 'Video' and loads of .bsa files the mod extracts folders called 'fomod' 'meshes' 'Optional' 'Readme' and 'textures' skyrim works fine, but i cant get the mod to work i have even tried the nexus mod manger and that will not work either this is my first time trying to install a mod, i was hoping it would work and try more mods

Forevermuffins
K, it usually wouldn't overwrite a file per-see if all the meshes it overrides are still in .bsa files. Here is probably your issue, you need to turn the mod on! In nexus mod manager, there is a little check box, make sure the mod is there and that it is checked and also under the skyrim and update mod, though they arent mods, just make sure. (the check box is on 2 pages, one for install, the other for load order) Next, start up the launcher, access data files, make sure the mod is checked. If all this is the case, then try running the game as an admin. Edited May 7, 2012 by Forevermuffins

Forevermuffins
In that case, the .esp is not activated for some reason (it is an esp right?) make sure there is an esp corresponding to the mod in your data folder, if it isn't there, the mod is supposed to overwrite something that doesn't exist yet. AKA, you need to install something else so you could overwrite that. What mod is it? Edited May 7, 2012 by Forevermuffins

bben46
Not every mod has an esp. If the mod is a texture replacer and doesn't have an esp, it will not show in the data list. Look for a subfolder in the data folder named Textures (skyrim\data\textures) or Meshes (skyrim\data\meshes)and look inside of that to see if the files from the mod are there. - If your data does not have textures or meshes, they will automatically be created if you install correctly. If you have a second data folder inside of your data folder (\skyrim\data\data) you must move everything from that one into the first data folder. - then delete the second data (skyrim\data)
