Mellowtron11
I've had a problem the last few days were I go to download mods into mod manager, but instead of downloading the mod, nothing happens. Instead I get an error message that says "failed to request info from Nexus: invalid response". I can't download anything now at the moment. What do I need to go to fix this problem? WastelandAssassin
are you using the last version of MO? (the one from the Skyrim SE MO2 page)or if you are using NMM , are you using the latest version? (the one from the GitHUB page)if the answer is no , this might be the cause of your issue

(the one from the GitHUB page)if the answer is no , this might be the cause of your issueThen how do I go about updating MO? Will it auto install when I download it? And do I need both the MO archive and installer? Edited May 27, 2018 by Mellowtron11
WastelandAssassin
you need to install it over your existing installationthe archive is an extracted version , while the installer will need to be installedso I think you should just download the archive version , and extract it to the same place where you already have MO installed (and of course , overwrite all of the files)just make sure it doesn't accidentally delete any of your folders

Another question- when it comes to picking an instance for the new mod manager, do I pick new or portable or manage instances?
WastelandAssassin
I think portable means it uses that folder for MO , while new just puts it in your AppDataso if you've used the AppData , choose new , while if you've used that folder , use portable

WastelandAssassin
well , it would be where your mods are locatedso basically , load up your current installation of MO , right click on any of the mods and open containing folder (or whatever the option is called)this will show you the path , so you should know where to install MO
Mellowtron11
Unfortunately, I don't have any mods at the moment in MO. Is there another way?
WastelandAssassin
if you don't have any mods , just uninstall whatever version of MO you have , and install the new version wherever you wantsince you have no mods , you won't lose anything
