I can't not download mods with NMM and now I can't not play Skyrim SE.

I need help, I can not download mods with NMM because that shows me this message "Nexus Mod manager is not set up to work with Skyrim if Skyrim is installed, rescan for installed games from the Change toolbar item." now i can not play normal Skyrim SE. Every time I try to play either as before, the game starts up where I click on play and I can not play it comes out. Please help me to give me solutions. Thank you for your answers.

you are probably trying to download a Skyrim LE mod using NMM set up for Skyrim SE

there are different sites for these different games , so you need to download mods from the SE site (if you want to use specific LE mods , and they have been reported to work , you need to manually download them , and install them in whatever suggested way , but this is a per case issue)

 

and if I understand the other issue , your game crashes on start? have you installed an LE mod on SE? have you installed anything on the game?

has it ever worked? have you made sure to open the launcher and configure the game?

Hi, thanks for your response. but before I was playing normal with the installed mods and Skyrim SE. I leave playing a while without playing and now I want to install a normal mod and play and this happened. that ist my mods installed.

well , after checking the picture again , and looking at the mod in both SE and LE version , you are definitely trying to download the LE version of the mod into an SE game

so this is why you get the error about the game not being recognized

I still don't understand the issues you are having when trying to play the game

Ok, I say, but thanks for the answer again, so if that happens, from one moment to another happens that now I can not play normal. i clicked in the launcher of the game and when start. Stop and the game out me in desk. but before it did not happened that when i play.

well , what has happened since the last time you were able to play the game?

has there been an update since then? if so , have you updated SKSE64?

have you removed or added any mods?

are you launching the game in a different way?

anything? because we really need to know what changed , that could have caused this

the problem begin today when i tried installed one mod and playing. after a long time. but is funny because when i tried to play after to installed i think good maybe, the mod start the game and wait while loading. and one moment to another stop and go to the desk. that happen. and i have mods installed before and playing normal. i don't know and when download one mod today sample me this message in the photo. that did not happen before.

when was the last time you've played the game? go to your save folder , and check the date of the latest saves

check if there was an update to the game since then

make sure to update SKSE64 to the latest version , as you may not have the latest version

the last time am played good was Februar 9 in this year. But today just wanted play again because installed a mod and so happened that mistake i did tell you. but the steam shows , the last time play, today. but how? if i can't play. i don't understand. so finally if i don't can more, maybe i will uninstalled everything.

maybe the best course is to try a fresh new installation of the game and the tools , to try and fix the issue

as for Steam , I believe it shows you the last time you've loaded the game , so as long as the game started it should log it as your latest usage of the game , regardless of whether or not the game worked for you beyond a few seconds
