Elven Map Redux semi work.

So I probably did something wrong, I just don't know what I did wrong. The Elven Map Redux mod, which changes the way local/world icons look as well as making your entire map colored *wanted to see that so bad* as well as a few other things doesn't seem to be working properly for me. I did the usual routine of downloading it and extracting it into my Oblivions data folder, but something seems to have gone wrong. Not only is my map still brown, but now during quests, I can't see the quest marker on my map at all, I can only follow it on my active compas (which by the way somehow DID get updated to the new compas quest marker). My hud also changed in appearance gaining the slight elvish look to it. But the biggest portions of this mod seem to not be working. Repeating them, the map is still all brown with no color, and I'm missing my World Quest Marker (doesn't appear at all). I'm new to downloading and using mods so I'm sure this is a user error on my part. But any help would be great.

Download Oblivion Mod Manager and once installed, start it up and click 'Utilities', 'Archive Invalidation' then check the 'BSA Alteration' box, then check 'Textures' and click update now. This should work.
