Do I need every requirement for mods I want?

This is my first time modding and I notice there's a lot of requirements for the mods I want and was wondering if I actually need to get all of them or not.

There's a reason they are called "requirements".

 

If you want the mod(s) to work as described - yes. You need them.

I'd just add to be careful not to mistake 'requirements' with 'mods that require this mod'. These are two different things altogether, though can be confusing if unfamiliar with the new version of Nexus.
