A few things.

First tyreil, there's a little thing called "banter". Perhaps you've heard of it. If you really were the esteemed Cpt. Sparrow you would use alot of it.

Stump, not to be rude/mean/other adjectives, but I think your name reflects your nature. The Elder Scrolls Construction Set (CS) available here is a utility that is 100% neccessary for creating new content for the game Oblivion. If you have even looked at tesnexus.com, you have seen "mods", modifications to the game created by using the CS. Using this utility, you can do a very large amount of things, from as small a thing as creating a new book to as big a thing as adding your own custom created creatures and items (other utilities are needed for this too). Since you are a brand new member I can hardly hold this against you. Rather, I will give advice on how to get into modding. First, I welcome you to the community. Second, there are a few good articles you should most definately read before you begin. As a catch-all, here is a link to the forum page with the most relevant posts. Check the pinned articles in the section at the top of the page. Of particular interest to you would be the "How To Make Mods" post by the fellow named LHammonds. Good guy and usually takes the time to answer questions. Also, look to another guy named Vagrant0. this guy tends to be the first response to any post about mods, and rightly so. Listen to his sage advice, even if it turns out to be slightly discouraging. I have experience in that field.

Then, if you want to actually make mods, Whether for posting or for yourself, you should first follow the above link to download the CS. The latest version is neccessary if you want to mod with SI content, but the older one is neccessary if you want to add your own new voiced dialogue. Get one feature, sacrifice another. Shame. Either way, then follow this link to the CS Wiki. This is a wealth of must have knowledge for creating mods. The search function is a lifesaver. Readily viewable on the main page is the point of interest; the present featured article. Follow the link here to get a very good idea of the CS and a foot in the door for future modding agendas.

And so, I leave you much information to contemplate. Most everyone I've met 'round these parts is encouraging to fledgling modders, so good luck and happy modding!
