busybobo
After playing the game for a while, I've noticed that Gunners seem to two varieties, those that use the "clean" base[gender]body mesh and texture, and those that use the the dirty base[gender]bodydirty mesh and texture, otherwise known as the "raider" body. So my question is, would it be possible to have Gunners use a third, different body and texture? I'm familiar with xEdit, but I'm not exactly any kind of expert on it. I've looked through the entries in the NPC (Actor) section of xEdit, but it shows every single Gunner entry as using the dirty bodies, even though I know for a fact there are clean Gunners. I also checked for them in the LChar section, even though I don't know what that section is for, but I couldn't find any reference to which bodies Gunners use in their LChar entries either. The goal, ideally, would be to have the dirty raider body be thin and grimy, and the third potential Gunner body to be more muscular than either the default NPC or Raider body. Thirdstorm
I basically did that mod.Assigning seperate CBBE bodies to each "Faction", but done that way ran into issues, mainly the average user either1) had problems reading the directions and "building" each body, and2) built one or more bodies to cartoonish proportions and it resulted in bad clipping of some outfits. You could do this for vanilla, or even CBBE a little differently, either by editing the specific "encXXXXFace" NPCs (xxx = faction name) and editing the "triangle" for each faction to conform to what you want. The downside of that would be conflicts, you'd have to be willing to patch every NPC for every mod..The best current way would be exploring the Looksmenu CBBE dynamic sliders, you can set a list of slider sets for the NPC's to pull from, and it might be possible to set it up to be linked to specific keywords or factions
Perraine
I'ts most being done simply as a simple Material Swap. If you create a custom (third) body texture, then you could go through and modify each "Gunner" outfit to use your new body texture. Of course that could likely cause conflicts with any mod that altered any gunner outfit.
