Unable to download mods because of "unexpected response from login server"

Whenever I try to download a mod using the mod manager it will ask me to enter my username and password, then it says there is an unexpected response from the login server. Anyone else have this problem?

plenty of people have had this problem , and we have answered this plenty of times over the past few weeks

this issue is due to the recent server updates this site has undergone

so if you are using NMM , you need to update it to the latest version (0.65.5 , which is hosted on the GitHUB page)

some have reported that the latest version hosted here (which is 0.65.2) is also working properly , but I've heard conflicting reports on this

so you should get the latest version installed , this will fix your issues
