The experience of discovery can still occur even after you have been playing the game for yonks. It isn't possible to recapture the excitement completely but I don't think I've played a sinle game where I haven't learned something new. I posted a while ago about getting shoes from New Shoes Bragor, and finding the purpose of the Argonian slave in the back of the Argonian mission. Then there was the weird quest about Gildara Hleran I'd never come across before. Most of the quests and battles are now easy but there are still surprises! Long may it stay that way.

being a n00b was good, but after coming here i realized how dull endlessness actually is....

my biggest problem with being a n00b was that you never understood how to customize your character.

I stuffed up my computer once and then i played again as a bosmer.. i was at level 35 and i was getting p00n3d by some POS weaker level char. Just Crazy really...

The game is more fun when you are new to it. When i first started the game i was amazed by it and the world within. There were so many things to expplore and i actually waled to save the little money i had. I did not know anything about and as they say ingnorance is bliss. I truely agree.

Although there is something somewhat soothing about knowing that you could kill any creature or NPC in the game in three hits, being a newb had such fun activities such as running for your life, sneaking up on enemies (or trying to), just wandering around in the wilderness taking in the immense scenery, getting really nervous around tombs and shrines, and wetting yourself over seeing a dremora or other new creature/daedra for the first time. being a god is fun, but actually being a hero and accomplishing monumentally challenging feats has such a higher satisfaction rating in my book.

Everyone is leaning in the direction of being a noob and i totally agree there was so much to see and venture out to and as everyone has said deadric ruins were a no no for noobs, great really and then finding higher level deadra were starting to appear, and u pegged it cos you saw a winged twilight for the first time, good ol days.

But isn't being a pro a good thing as you can actually venture into the great new mods that are to be released, i mean plugins can help improve the open endness of morrowind. :D

I must say that I liked be a n00b better just cause there was a lot more excitement then being an expert like I am now. It was a lot of fun just being able to walk into a daedric shrine and be scared of dying. Now I could walk into and army of Golden Saints and kill them all in a few minutes. Sure there are some occasional surprises, but to me there aren't enough to really keep you playing in an uber type game. The only fun I get is just to go on random killing sprees. You know, flip a coin, heads Balmora, tails Fort Frostmoth. But it does get kind of boring doing it over and over again. And there isn't much else for me to do, so I just start making different characters that play in totally different styles to make things more fun and keep me playing MW.

yeah, I liked being a noob too.....not that I'm too advanced or somethin', only level 26 Redguard Knight, my first char... :P those damn cliff racers are like soo annoying  anyway, I still feel chills running down my spine when I run under a netch.....they creep me out  but after I finish the game, I want to begin again, and play as a vampire and werewolf! :)

I considered that I was powerfull enough for anyone, but some bandits and the creatures on sheogorath are still dangferous....especially the bandits...almost all of them have blades with paralyze...
