sarahizahhsum
WIP! I needed to get this off of my memory space! Sarah’s Ultimate Modding ListOverview and ClarificationsI am looking through over 12k mods to gather the ones that are what I think would be interesting and useful for everyone. I am picky only because of my computer. My specs:Dell Optiplex 9020Intel® Core i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60GHzInstalled Memory (RAM): 4.00GB64-bit Operating SystemIntel® HD Graphics 4000Total Available Graphics Memory (VRAM) = 1696MB or 1.696GBDedicated Video Memory = 64MBShared System Memory = 1632MB or 1.632GBI have included the title of the mod, the file size, and a brief (and sometimes detailed) description of the mod. At the end in parenthesis, I included my rating of the mod. In some circumstances I will give a brief explanation of why the rating is what it is. Most of the time it is file size or just not an entirely necessary mod for a playthrough. These ratings have nothing against the mods, just my personal opinion. I tried to be fairly unbiased in my rating, but sometimes my bias sneaks in like a Khajiit in a skooma den. Here are the ratings: 0, 00, 000 (the more zeros, the less I like the mod), 1-10, above 5 is necessary at 10 you want it in at least 1 playthrough. The last is “always”, these are mods that I will need in every playthrough I do. As you know, I could not fit enough mods (given my 31GB of free space on my laptop) in if I choose my favorites from 12k mods, so eventually multiple load orders will update on this mod, so make sure to track this mod page. I will do a complete playthrough with each (don’t worry, this is not hard work for me, it is fun) set of mods, then go back again and again, basically until I have played through all the quest mods. The load orders I will come up with will be pristine and tested to its fullest extent. I’m predicting at least 3 load orders. At the conclusion of the mod page here, you will have multiple load orders to choose from.****WARNING: The first load order I give will be done through extensive testing, but not a full playthrough. If issues arise and I need to change it, I will replace the original load order with a new, perfect one. But I highly doubt I will run into any problems. I have chosen this category guide from “HOW TO: Load Order” (You can google it.) In my experience, it works flawlessly. I do not like extreme difficulty with no purpose. This means having a boss that can one shot you (while you are at the proper level and with proper gear) makes no sense, even in real life. It is not fun and just frustrates me. Throwing a ton of hard enemies at me at once: freaks my game out, freaks me out, makes me smash my laptop, no more Skyrim. So yeah, those mods that increase difficulty or have a lot of stupid difficult fights will NOT be on this list. I like a CHALLENGE, not a traumatizing event. Example of a challenging boss/situation: Miraak, Alduin, basically anything in Skyrim vanilla. They did it right, so I think mod authors should quit trying to make Skyrim Dark Souls, it is NOT Dark Souls, and mirror (with a good amount more difficulty if they wish) Skyrim. Good amount = still fun! Alright, now that I got that rant out of the way. LAWL. ðI also cannot run ANY ENB so those will not be included. As for player homes and armors, I have not included many, but be sure to check out the Nexus if that’s your thing! I am not going to be covering any reshaders because Climates of Tamriel + Color Enhancement + Noble Skyrim = Perfect reshader and more. Plus, they are all up to your own preference. I recommend Enhanced Blood Textures and Deadly Spell Impacts. These are not included because of the insanely large file size and I don’t find them necessary. In the brackets [ ] contains messages about how sure I am of the load order. ALL OF THESE MESSAGES ARE BASED ON RESEARCH, NOT ACTUAL GAMEPLAY. LOOK AT THE LOAD ORDERS I WILL POST FOR 100% STABILITY AND CLEANLINESS. LOCKED = 99% Ssure - This means it is verified by the mod author, the Skyrim Recommended Mod Load Order by LukeKB, and by me. NOT LOCKED: NO LUKEKB = 50% sure - Verified by me and the mod author, but not LukeKB’s Skyim Recommended Mod Load Order because this mod was not included in it.NOT LOCKED: NO LUKEKB OR MOD AUTHOR = 20% sure – Verified by only me, not by LukeKB’s Skyrim Recommended Mod Load Order or by the mod author.1. Khalbad’s Rest: low difficulty, near Riften. Steamcrag Springs: moderate difficulty, near Steamcrag Camp in Eastmarch. I just have to say, wow. He managed to pack 5 new dungeons in 1.1MB, these dungeons are so unique, my mouth remained wide open when looking at the pictures. Incompatible with: Invasion of Skyrim – GAT, and Rigmor of Bruma (of course). (Always, except when you want to use Invasion of Skyrim – GAT or Rigmor of Bruma).****Hammet’s Dungeon Pack: I decided to not go with this mod as all 24 dungeons require level 40 + and a group of followers. As you all know, I do not like too much difficulty without a purpose. Throwing hard enemies or a ton of them at me is NOT fun in my eyes, and I know that I am not alone. But if you like that sort of thing, check it out. It’s just not available until that level and that’s already halfway through the game. Waste of disk space and processing power in my opinion. But you do you.**** 15. Solemn Keep Chronicles – Shimmerfall Springs – 11.6MB Bandits from all around Skyrim have been gathering and digging out the once abandoned caves of Shimmerfall Springs, causing local concern. There are 8 beautiful, new dungeons. CONFLICT: I think this would conflict with Prowler’s Tomb (above), the locations both look like they are in the exact same spot. (Always) 21. Perk Point Potion – 3KB (Base) Adds a potion that gives you 1 perk point called the “Elixir of Insight”. Can be found at one Khajiit Caravan merchant and costs 90,000 gold. I think 20,000 gold would be more realistic, but hey, it’s a perk point! And it gives you something to spend your gold on. (Always) 119. Freshly Picked – 33KB (Base) When harvesting alchemy ingredients, you now gain a set amount of XP, which is dependent on the value of the ingredient, towards your alchemy skill (as it should have been in vanilla!) [Works with all flora mods, skill mods, but not auto-harvesting mods.] (Always) 120. He is very realistic and cannot be commanded nor carry your stuff. He has a large distance away that he flies from you and will attack other NPCs and animals (mostly chickens). He will come to your aid eventually and do an eagle screech (custom sound) that staggers enemies. He needs to be loaded above all other follower mods and AFT. AFT will try to take control of him, so dismiss him entirely. May not be a problem with Follower Compatibility mod installed. He will still be able to be called and told to land (hover above the ground). (4 – file size) 1. Immersive Wenches - 12.2MB Adds Wenches to every Inn who can be followers and spouses. She is a sneak character and prefers dual wielding blades. She will talk about her surroundings. She will be elusive at first but begin to open as you progress through her main quest. She will comment on your behaviors that she likes. She has a regard system: companion, friend, ally, distant, distrustful, resentful, rival. She will leave your service if you become rivals with her. She likes sneaky behaviors and acts of heroism and cunning. She does not like being hit by you. You can tell her to relax in a city and she will relax, but past midnight she may get up to no good. She will rejoin you if you leave the city. Arissa will try to move out of your way! She is compatible with Convenient Horses, note the patch above. You can change her outfit: burglar outfit (which you should change), casual (which she will change into when relaxing in town), and you should be able to manage her equipment once her regard for you is high enough. Should be loaded after any other custom-voiced follower. (Always) 15. Diverse Skyrim – 15.7MB Adds over 100 new NPCs with unique appearances and races to diversify Skyrim whilst staying lore-friendly. The mod page says these important things: I might need a bash patch. He gives links on how to make one. There might be a conflict with Immersive Citizens and ASIS. He says to ask the mod authors of those mods for help which I find quite rude but whatever. Not like this is your mod. I don’t think there will be a problem because this mod just ADDS NPCs, it does not affect the way either mod works and the mods should apply their respective features to these new NPCs. (Always – if there isn’t a conflict. If there is, since the author was so insolent, I will now work with this. ASIS is too important.) 16. Diverse Dragons Collection – 208.1MB Adds 28 leveled enemy dragons with unique models, textures, & abilities, uniting work from over a dozen mod authors. Now fully configurable. 17. More Werewolves – 1.5MB Adds more werewolf encounters. You will not need this mod if you have either Moonlight Tales or Skyrim Immersive Creatures. (Always) 21. Thieves Guild Bounty Clearer – 972KB This mod adds an NPC to the Ragged Flagon who can remove bounties on the player character for a fee. (Always) 22. Dawnguard Sentries Plus – 5.9MB Adds Dawnguard Sentries to the towns of Skyrim to help fight off vampires.****RANT ALERT – DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T LIKE NEGATIVE RANTS, THIS KIND OF PERTAINS TO YOUR MODDING BUT ITS BASICALLY JUST TELLING YOU NOT TO DOWNLOAD HIS MODS**** Mihail Monsters and Animals: I just spent 3 hours typing up this stupid mod author’s mods. There were 70 of them! I read a comment saying all his mods were Form 43 which corrupts save files and breaks the game. Really? I even was totaling up his file sizes for each creature and got to 3GB for only 40 creatures. IC and BoT do not go past 0.7GB with at least a hundred creatures. I recommend not using ANY of his mods and definitely don’t endorse. The worst part was the creatures he added were CLEARLY not lore-friendly nor immersive, yet he called them immersive and lore-friendly. I’m sorry Mihail if you are reading this, but please just understand where I am coming from. This really irks me as I have 12k mods to look through and you wasted my time on this. I have to go to college man, I don’t have all the time in the world to mess around with your broken, large file sized, un-immersive and un-lore-friendly mods! No wonder no big youtuber covered your mods. Like, modding is hard and all (I am working on my own with a million scripts, and compressing, and bull s#*! – almost DLC-sized) and you can’t even do the SIMPLEST thing so as to put these in the right Form? I’m done ranting. Moving on.(9. Changes or Add-ons to NPCs)21. Bloodmoon Creature Restoration Project (I really like these) – 404KB + 9.1MB/30.3MB + 10.3MB 1. The Blood Horker – 10.3MB Replaces all horkers in Solstheim with the Bloodmoon DLC’s horkers (from TES: III Morrowind). Provides consistency from TES: III Morrowing to TES: V Skyrim. Adds wooly rhinos to the Skyrim tundra. Not in IC or BoT or Mihail’s. (ALWAYS – dat respect tho). 27. Toads and Frogs of Skyrim – 25.8MB Adds 26 toad or frog companions, 313 wild toads, 204 wild frogs, and sounds of ambience from the toads/frogs. (I love this but s#*!, file size – 7) 28. Sofia – The Funny Fully Voiced Follower – 88.8MB Adds a funny follower Sofia. She is a tease, makes inappropriate comments, is strong, and a bit boastful. She has amazing voice acting done by a professional, Christina. She gets drunk and SOUNDS drunk then sings the lyrics to vanilla songs wrong and even has her own songs she will sing. She is quest aware and will make comments about where you are at. To start: go to the Whiterun stables and you will find her there…naked. (Always, but in just one playthrough for me) 33. Recorder – 141.7MB Recorder is a student from a mysterious academy that has the ability to warp in and out of dimensions. Her mission: to record the Dragonborn and his/her heroic deeds. She is location/quest aware, has a romance quest WIP, becomes somewhat psychotic when killing anything. She is skilled in dual-wielding, archery, and sneak. Could not figure out where to find her! (Always – one playthrough) 34. Kaidan – 157.0MB Adds a male fully-voiced follower named Kaidan. He Has a sword with inscriptions on it, you will find the clues throughout the main quest line to figure out what it is, it is related to his past. It is in dragon tongue. Song of the Green – “Song of the Green” 61.4MB + “Inigo Banter Patch” 6.3MB = 67.7MB Adds a Bosmer wood Elf named Auri who has 500 voiced lines of unique dialogue including conversation topics about bosmer culture, location-based conversations, and idles. Adds scenes with vanilla NPC's, including Faendal, Serana, and Hearthfire children. Adds a simple mini-quest. Adds her own mount which she will ride when you are riding a horse. Adds a romance option which is independent from vanilla marriage. The “Inigo Banter Patch” adds conversations with Inigo if you have his mod. There was also a “3DNPC Banter Patch” which in theory would add conversations with a few of the interesting NPCs added by that mod but ALAS, Interesting NPCs refuses to port to SE (sigh). CONFLICT: Any horse mod such as Convenient Horses will cause major issues when Auri tries to ride her mount. I advise not using a horse mod like that if you have this mod. I of course urge you to have Inigo in your load order with this mod. (One playthrough = Inigo + No Horse Mod) 39. Hoth – 19.9MB Hoth is a Nordic badass follower who can be recruited in the Morthal Inn. He fights in two-handed style and uses a bow. Hoth generates quests for the player for bounties, seeing as he is a lengendary bounty hunter; just ask him for a radiant bounty quest. Hoth is radiant-quest enabled which means he can send you to locations added by mods. Hoth is fully voice-acted with high quality voice acting and sound quality. Hoth has his own fully developed backstory. Hoth has a unique set of armor and weapons, custom body warpaint and insignias, custom skin textures with detailed scars, stitches, ect, and custom eye textures. He is a true embodiment of Hothtrooper44 (the mod author). (One playthrough) 40. Slave Pack Riekling Porter – 9.8MB Adds a new Riekling follower who will carry your burdens if you do a small favor for him. He can be found on a small, rocky island in front of Raven Rock. He is fully voiced (and sounds like a vanilla Riekling should). He takes up the pet animal (dog) slot. (One, or maybe more, playthroughs) 41, Khajiit Will Follow 3.0 (Marriable Edition) – 101.8MB Adds three fully-voiced, marriable Khajiit followers to the world, each with their own quests and backstories. Also includes a semi-hidden quest with a special reward. Bikhai is a sword and board warrior type who is currently in Whiterun looking to join the Companions. She is meant to be a long-game companion and is meant to be talked to a lot. She will comment on a few quests/locations, and has a relationship-system. Many of her conversations will unlocked throughout the game. She provides unique books and spell tomes once a day. Virelda has a wide variety of perks and uses a custom throwing card spell. She grants you two active effects that raise health by 100 points and fire resistence to 50%. She starts at level 15 and scales with the player. She is a master Illusion trainer and sells a variety of spells and tomes. She is fully compatible with any follower overhaul mod. She seems a bit OP, but you only find her when going to Solstheim (which means you must be high level to even achieve that!) You can find Virelda at the Underground Temple of Miraak, near Raven Rock. (One playthrough) 43. Garm the Husky Companion – 9 versions. “Garm Ghost Red Eyes No Armor” (Garm the Ghost white husky (with red eyes and no armor) and texture only applies to Garm so he is unique) 12.7MB; “Garm Jr. No Armor” (Garm Junior but without his leather armor and is a little below 1.0 in scale size.) 42KB; “Garm Jr. With Armor” (Garm Junior (DG armor) is a smaller version of Garm Senior (little below 1.0).) 42KB; “Garm Original” (Garm (Senior) is a LARGE (scale 1.12) DG armored husky companion.) 42KB; “Garm Original No Armor” (Garm Senior No Armor is a LARGE (scale 1.12) unarmored husky companion.) 42KB; “Garm White with Ebony Armor” (Garm the white husky (with ebony armor) and texture only applies to Garm so he is unique) 12.9MB; “Mini Garm No Armor” (Garm Mini but without his leather armor and is 0.75 in scale size) 42KB; “Shadow Garm Reaper of Souls” (Shadow Garm the Husky (no armor) has his own texture and mesh so he is unique.) 12.3MB; “White Garm” (Garm the white husky (no armor) and texture only applies to Garm so he is unique.) 12.7MB. Description: Garm is a husky companion. He can be found with Andurs in the Whiterun Temple of Arkay. He is named after Garmr, the guardian of the Norse Underworld. He has a spell book that will teleport him (through an Oblivion portal) to you. He has high sneak and does not set off traps, does not add to your stealth meter, and has many other stealthy perks and powers. He has boosted health and is essential. He levels with the player from 10 – 80. You cannot set a home for him so when he is dismissed, he will return to the Hall of the Dead in Whiterun. (One or more playthroughs) [sorry about the long description] 44. True Meeko – “True Meeko” (2K textures) 39.1MB; “True Meeko 1K” 15.6MB. Gives Meeko the vanilla dog and upgrade. He is now tougher, stealthier, and levels infinitely with the character. Adds 9 different retextures for Meeko. (Maybe one playthrough – 7) 45. Smart No More Stupid Dog Comments – 8KB If an NPC has a good disposition towards you or the dog, they will say “Good dog”. If the NPC has a neutral or bad disposition towards you or the dog, they will say “Stupid dog”. Does not work for NPC owned dogs, they will still say “Stupid dog”. The dog must be your follower for them to say “Good dog”. Might work with mod added dogs, mod author isn’t sure though. (Always) 46. Harold the Pack Goat – “Harold the Goat” 301KB; “Harold Coward Option” (Harold runs away in combat) 6KB Adds a pack goat who will carry your burdens. You can find him at the Dawnstar mine and can be bought from Lond for 300 septims. Description was empty, not sure if he is essential/ect. (Depends on if he is essential, if he is: one or more playthroughs, if not: 4) 47. Ihlenda Reconstructed – 524KB Ihlenda is a Dwemer robot who has the same animations as a Flame Atronach. She is essential, marriable, has her own custom spells (steam blast), scales with the player infinitely and starts at level 5, should work with follower overhauls (AFT & EFF), can carry your “burdens”, and has extremely high magic regeneration. She cannot equip weapons but may be able to equip armor (author does not know). You can find her trapped in the Dwemer storeroom outside of Mzulft. (One playthrough) 49. Grunt – The Bear Companion – 7KB Adds a bear follower named Grunt who occupies the animal slot and follows standard vanilla commands, stores items (immersion breaking maybe, but concessions must be made!), and is pretty powerful. I recommend using him late game. By my knowledge of AFT and EFF, he should follow those new commands but you might need to use the power to set him as a follower which might then make him an NPC follower instead of an animal follower. (run-on, eh?). You can adjust his size through the instructions the mod author listed in the mod description. He can be found right outside of Riverwood. (One playthrough) 50. Dwemer Dogs Companions - 367KB Adds 3 dwemer dog companions (found at Salvius Farm) and 5 dwemer dog summons (bought from Farengr). They have basic vanilla commands and might work with AFT or EFF. (One playthrough) 51. Fluff’s Followers – Winston the Penguin – 1.7MB Adds a new follower, Winston the penguin, to the Sleeping Giant Inn (of course). He is more of a tank in combat, thus more of a pet. He has normal vanilla follower commands but SHOULD work with AFT or EFF. He might not be in the lore, but I don’t think he breaks immersion. It would make sense to have penguins in Skyrim seeing as it is as cold as Antarctica up north. (One playthrough) 52. Rex the German Shepherd Companion – 2.5MB Adds a family of 4 German Shepherds to the inside of Dragonsreach. There is a mom and dad and 2 kids. They all have different sizes based on their age/gender. They have basic vanilla follower commands. (One playthrough) 53. Astra – Mage Familiar – 9KB Adds a wisp like follower to the College of Winterhold that takes up the animal slot. She is fairly passive in combat but will at times join in. She will wait, follow, and carry your burdens. She gives you an active effect: Wisp Light which makes magicka regenerate 100% faster and resist magic by 10%. Through a dialogue option, she will give you 2 glow dust every 24 hours. Through another dialogue option, she will craft you wisp wrappings, as long as you have 2 glowdust and 1 linen wrap. Mod author doesn’t know how she will work with AFT or EFF but I will do some testing. Follower Compatibility mod might make this possible. (Always – if playing a mage character) 54. Tek the Skeleton Follower - Tale of a Mad Warrior - The Necromancer pact – 922KB Adds a Nord skeleton follower to North Brittleshin Pass. He will level with the player, is skilled with two-handed weapons and archery, can “equip” armor to get the stats or enchantments but will not show on his body, he can trade, he can follow commands, and he counts as an animal follower. He has named weapons and gear. He is immune to disease, poison, and paralysis, he does not ragdoll, he doesn’t affect stealth meter, he can resist 30% of magic and frost resistance, and he is essential. (One playthrough) 55. Giant Arctic Fox Follower – 46KB Adds a giant fox follower to the wilderness near Fort Dawnguard. He will be at an entrance to a cave. He has the following functions: follow, stay, dismiss, inventory management, favor system, send to vanilla houses, hearthfire houses, solstheim house, designate a custom home, send to the custom home, mount and ride into combat. (One playthrough) 56. Dwemer Horses Companions – 1.3MB Adds 2 Dwemer horse companions with sounds and voice near the Markarth Stables, and 3 summonable Dwemer horses. You cannot ride the companions found near the Markarth Stables. You can tell the companions to: wait, follow, trade, favor, and dismiss. Place the .esp for the summonable horses at the bottom. You can buy 4 spell tomes from Farengr in Dragonsreach. They are: summon Dwemer horse, summon spectral Dwemer horse, summon horse dog, and dismiss for all summonable horses. You can mount the summonable horses (all 3 of them). As for AFT or EFF, when trying to dismiss the followers, you must uncheck AFT or EFF before launching the game, launch the game, dismiss them, quit the game, re-check AFT or EFF, then launch the game. Might not have to do this with Follower Compatibility mod on. (One playthrough) 58. Guild Master Armor for the Guild Master – 0KB Brynjolf, Vex and Delvin don’t use the guild master armor anymore because they are not guild masters after all! (Always) 59. Google’s Simple Vampire Hunting – 2KB Sell vampire dust to the Dawnguard for gold. (Always) 60. Impress the Mages – Master Trainers – 1KB Makes Sergius and Colette Master trainers in Enchanting and Restoration like it should have been in vanilla. (Always) 61. Daedric Cults of Skyrim – 1.7MB Adds cults to some Daedric shrines after completing the quest associated with it. (Always) 62. Swimming Animals – 39KB Animals now swim. [Could be in Category: Gameplay and Effects, or with other AI mods] (Always) 63. Alchemists Gone Wild – 107KB Adds hostile alchemists who wonder around looking for ingredients. New NPCs. (Always) 64. Giftable Teddies – 3.0MB Buy 9 varieties of teddy bears from your local Khajiit Caravan and gift to your child! (9 – file size) 65. Elsweyr Imports – 3.6MB Adds Elsweyr items (fruits, juice, books, ect) to the travelling Khajiit merchant. (Always) 66. Fishermen are Merchants – 1KB This mod allows Fisherman to buy and sell like hunters can. (Always) 67. Seedy Merchant – 3KB Adds a merchant who sells some questionable ingredients such as human flesh and Daedra hearts. He also sells rare alchemical ingredients such as powdered mammoth tusk and even briar hearts. He is located in an abandoned camp (vanilla) southwest of Northwatch Keep. (Always) 68. Order My Items – 44KB Allows you to place an order for crafting materials, armor, and alchemy ingredients for a fee and waiting period, all configurable through the MCM. (Always) 69. (LAWL) Old Dusty Travels Again – 263KB Adds Dusty the Siltstrider to Ravenrock for fast transport between there and Tel Mithryn. He can be found at the Bulwark in Raven Rock. (Always!) 70. More Saddles – 6.1MB (Base) Bard, Hunter, Big Game, Traveler, Knight and the optional Dawnguard Saddles for all explorers and adventurers. (Always) 71. Travellers of Skyrim – 4.7MB (Base) / 1KB (Bags and Pouches Addon) / 7KB (Dragonborn Addon) / 9KB (Dragonborn + Bags and Pouches Addon) / 2.4MB (Light Version) BASE: Travellers of Skyrim adds 50 new NPCs that travel between over 30 locations in Skyrim. DRAGONBORN ADDON: Allows the travelers from Skyrim to visit Solstheim. BAGS AND POUCHES ADDON: Allows the travelers to wear the items from the Bandolier – Bags and Pouches mod. DRAGONBORN + BAGS AND POUCHES ADDON: ****Use this file if you wish to use the “Bags and Pouches Addon” and the “Dragonborn Addon”. Do not use those mods separate, use this one! *** This mod might make the Populated Series mod too crowded. [AFT commands do not work with this mod. Do not use them in the dialogue menu! Might work with Follower Compatibility mod installed.] (Always – with or without Populated Series, I am not sure) 72. NPCs Protected Redux – 1.1MB Makes almost all named/unique NPCs protected. No more failed quests cause of dragon or vampire attacks. (Always) 73. Khajiit Child Maisha – 8.7MB Adds a Khajiit child to Crabber’s Shanty, southwest of Morthal. (Always) 74. NPCs Travel – 113KB Adds 164 friendly and hostile NPCs that travel to 190 places. Very similar to Traveller’s of Skyrim. I recommend using Traveller’s of Skyrim instead of this mod because 164 is a LOT of NPCs, although you can toggle the number of NPCs through the MCM (I am guessing, mod author did not specify). (Probably not) 75. Adventurers and Travelers – 25.0MB Generates these NPCs randomly. Adds 54 adventurers who travel in threes: a fighter, caster, and rogue. They hunt bandits and creatures in dungeon, caves and bandit camps. They are friendly to the player and travelers. Adds 64 travelers who travel unarmed and travel back and forth from towns and villages. Adds 28 robbers who kill indiscriminately. They cannot enter cities. Adventurers are hostile towards them and vanilla NPCs run away from them. Adds 3 Khajiit adventurers who behave just like the normal adventurers. They spend the day in Riverwood. Adds 6 Dovahkiins who venture to Dragon Burial Mounds. They have the Dovah-Helmet and can shout. I personally like this one better than Travellers of Skyrim, it will be a tough call. (Maybe?) 76. The New Dragon Cult – 38.1MB (Konahrik Version) / 30.0MB (Krosis Version) This mod adds dragon cultist to all dragon burial mounds, and most dragon lairs. You can choose which mask you want the cultists to wear: Konahrik or Krosis. (2 – file size) 77. Skyrim Teenagers – 3.6MB (Base) Adds teenagers scattered throughout Skyrim. (Always) 78. Heroes of Sovngarde – 9.0MB (Base) Adds the following NPCs to Sovngarde: All nord followers, Draugr Bosses, Graymanes, Battleborns, Ebony Warrior, Ysgramor's sons, and Roggvir. (4 – large file size) 79. Mzulft Researches Wear Synod Outfits – 3KB (Base) Synod researchers in Mzulft wear Synod outfits from Beyond Skyrim: Bruma. [REQUIRED: Beyond Skyrim – Bruma mod] (Always – with the Bruma mod) 80. Vampire Lord Enemies – 10KB (Base) Adds vampire lords that have a chance to replace master vampires. They have two variants: Melee and Magic. These enemies are VERY hard. (Always) 81. Dominion’s More Not-Nords All-In-One – 85KB Merges all of Dominion’s Not-Nords mods into one. Includes: Khajiit, High Elves, Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Argonions, Redguards, and Orcs. Adds more of these NPCs into the game. (Always) 82. Adopt Aventus Aretino – 1.1MB (Base) / 1KB (Prince and Pauper with RS Children Patch) / 1KB (RS Children Patch) / 1KB (RS Children USSEP Patch) / 1KB (The Kids Are Alright Patch) Makes it so that you can adopt Aventus Aretino after completing the quest “Innocence Lost” (like you should have been able to do in the vanilla game, come on Bethesda!) (Always) 83. Skaal Kid Coat – 794KB (Base – Vanilla) / 794KB (Base – RS Children Overhaul) / 794KB (Coat with Gloves – Vanilla) / 794KB (Coat with Gloves – RS Children Overhaul) Gives Aeta of the Skaal village a Skaal kid coat. Also has a variant with gloves. (Always) 84. Adopt Helgi Ghost – 3KB (Base) / 1KB (RS Children Patch) / 1KB (The Kids Are Alright Patch) Allows you to adopt Helgi the ghost after completing the quest “Laid to Rest”. (Always) 85. Custom Family Home – 15KB Allows you to move your family (spouse and children) into any home! (Always) (BOTTOM) Elvenwood – 4.4MB Elvenwood is a large treehouse settlement located between Falkreath & Helgen. It has a blacksmith, inn, general goods store, and fletcher as well as other NPCs. All NPCs are of course wood elves. There are smithing facilities, an alchemy lab, and an enchanting table. There is a purchasable player home with plenty of storage, a bed, mannequins, weapon racks, weapon plaques, cooking pot, bookshelves, alchemy table & enchanter. This mod had me put it below any “NPC/hireling” mods so I put it at the bottom of Cat 9 where those mods are. The mod also says that any mods that affect the position or size of pine trees could conflict. I have a few in my list, so I will have to watch out for those. (10 – I want to use this, but for only one playthrough)(End of NPCs)10. Visual, textural, or atmospheric changes. 1. Point the Way - 905KB Adds more road signs to intersections. (Always)2. Cinematic Fire Effects 2 HD - 3.7MB Retextures fires and flames. (Always) 3. Book Covers Skyrim – 463.7MB Retextures all book covers, each unique, in Skyrim. (8 – very large file – do not use if using Legacy of the Dragonborn, there will be duplicates) 4. Smoking Torches and Candles – 1.3MB Improves the appearance of the smoke emitted from the candle and the torch. (Always) 5. A Quality World Map – “Vivid with Stone Roads” 20.7MB + “Clear Map Skies” 2.4MB = 23.1MB A detailed map of Skyrim and Solstheim. 7. RS Children – 30.2MB Overhauls the appearance of all children. Also adds some outfits and accessories (currently only for boys). 8. RS Children Patch Compendium – 58.2MB Patches for RS Children mod. You will not need all of them. Patches included: Beyond Reach, Blackthorn, Books of Skyrim, Cutting Room Floor (included on Cutting Room Floor’s mod page), Dragon Bridge Southside, Dragons Keep, Expanded Towns and Cities SSE, Falskaar, Folkstead and the Border of Hammerfell, Gavrostead, Haafingar, Haafstad and the Border of High Rock, Helgen Reborn, Herds, Holds The City Overhaul, Interesting NPCs, Keld-Nar, Legacy of the Dragonborn, Legendary Cities, Moon and Star, Nyhus and the Border of Cyrodiil, Outlaws and Revolutionaries, Populated Skyrim Hell Edition, Populated Cities Towns Villages Lite, Qaxe's Questorium, Rigmor of Bruma, Settlements Expanded, Solitude Docks, Solitude Expansion, The Forgotten City, The People of Skyrim, They took our jobs, Whiterun Valley, and Winterhold Rebuild. (Always) 9. Diverse Werewolves Collection – 333.6MB Adds variety to enemy werewolf encounters. There are now 25 werewolves and 13 werebears, each leveled at 11 possible ranks for a total of 418 new enemies. Only use this mod if using More Werewolves. Do not use this mod if using Skyrim’s Immersive Creatures. (8 – Large file size) 10. A Lute from The Witcher 3 – “Lute” 476KB + “Patch for Become a Bard” 122KB + “Wearable Lute” 419KB = 1.017MB Replaces the lute with the Witcher 3’s lute. (Always) 11. XxAwesome_PotionsxX – 26.1MB Retexture of all vanilla potions. (4 – file size) 13. Transparent and Refracting Icicle and Frost Atronach – 13.5MB Replacement texture for icicles and frost atronachs. (Always) 15. Rustic Windows – 18.0MB (1K) / 59.5MB (2K) / 1.5MB (Reduced Window Glow – Optional) This mod retextures the Skyrim and Dragonborn windows in a lore-friendly way. The window glass has been revised to be thick, textured and insulating. The "opaque" nature of the glass has a purpose, to keep prying outs from seeing in. (Always) 16. Wispmother – 4.2MB (2K-1K) / 11.8MB (4K-2K) / 2.0MB (1K-512) / 4.2MB (Better Shaped Female Creatures Version in 2K-1K) / 11.8MB (Better Shaped Female Creatures Version in 4K-2K) Retexture of the Wispmother’s clothes and skin. (Always) 18. Lock HD Retexture – 428KB (Option A) / 412KB (Option B) Provides two different HD retextures of the lockpicking screen. Option A: Darker with standard locking picking sounds from vanilla. Option B: brighter with standard lockpicking sounds reduced. I would prefer darker with noise reduction but there was no option for this. (Always) 20. Ultra Performance Grass – 377KB (256 Resolution) / 1.007MB (512 Resolution) Significantly reduces the texture size of the grass in Skyrim. Will boost performance (supposedly) a lot. Two versions: 256 (I do not recommend this, there is a lot of graininess), and 512 resolutions. (Always) 23. Small DLC and Misc Patch for XxAwesome_PotionsxX – 1KB (Base) / 1KB (Base + Makes the Potion of Well-Being more Useful Over 5 Seconds) Small patch for DLC potions and other potions that were missed by XxAwesome_PotionsxX. (Always – with XxAwesome_PotionsxX) 24. Pond Fish Retexture – 127KB (Base) Retextures the small pond fishies. (Always) 25. Aspens to Cherry Blossoms – 1.2MB (Dark Pink) / 1.3MB (Light Pink) Changes the aspen tree of the Rift to cherry blossoms in either dark or light pink. (Maybe – drastic difference) 26. Dark Brotherhood Tenets – 201KB (512) / 768MB (1K) / 2.9MB (2K) / 11.1MB (4K) / 43.4MB (8K) / 103.9MB (16K) Retextures the Dark Brotherhood Tenets to 512, 1K, 2K, 4K, 8K, and 16K. Personally, I cannot tell a big difference between 4K and 8K, but for shits and giggles, if I decide to waste my memory on my computer, I may get 16K. By the way, the 16K should not affect performance as the tenets are rare and small. And lastly, this is probably the only mod on the Nexus that offers 16K without affecting performance. (Always, probably 4K) 27. Shezrie’s Old Hroldan Inn Retexture – 395KB Provides an alternate wood texture for the Old Hroldan Inn in Shezrie's Old Hroldan Inn mod. (Always – with Shezrie’s Old Hroldan Inn mod) 28. Helgen UV Tweaks – 451KB (Base) / 53KB (Reduces the Orange Glow from the Base file) Alters the UV on meshes from Helgen after it's burnt to the ground so it's not blurry and unsightly. (Always) 29. Less Visually Obtrusive Cloak Spells Effects – 65KB (Base) This mod lessens visual effects of Skyrim's cloak spells so they won't give you eyesore anymore. (Always)11. Sound, audio, FX alterations. 1. SSE High Quality Voices - 4 parts. 1.8GB + 1.8GB + 1.8GB + 1.8GB = 7.2GB This mod replaces English voice files with much higher quality (192kbp/s), recorded off the PS4 version. (This mod is f*#@ing huge. I would rate it maybe a 4 just because of file size, but it sounds brilliant and will have a massive impact on the game. Download this last or in a relatively light memory usage load order.)2. Immersive Sounds - Compendium - 215.1MB Replaces all Skyrim sounds like magic casting, Weapon sounds, Environment sounds, ect. (Always)3. Sounds of Skyrim – Complete – 69.2MB Includes three other mods Sounds of Skyrim: Civilization, Dungeons, and The Wilds. Adds new sound effects found throughout the entire game. (Always)4. Celtic Music in Skyrim – “Celtic Music in Skyrim SE” 123.4MB + “Combat” 2.7MB + “Dungeon” 14.6MB = 140.7MB Adds 79 new Celtic songs, 2 additional combat songs, and 8 additional dungeon songs. (Always)5. Malukah Age of Aggression main menu theme replacer – 458KB Replaces main menu song with Malukah’s Age of Aggression song. (Always)6. Realistic Husky Sounds – 5.2MB Adds over 60 all-new, high-quality husky sounds to the Dawnguard huskies including new attacks, barks, idle panting, groans, "talking", etc. (Always)7. True 3D Sounds for Headphones – 535KB (Base) This enables 3D sound positioning in-game. You'll hear exactly from which direction a sound is coming from. [Not sure if it is compatible with other large scale sound overhaul mods such as Sounds of Skyrim, Immersive Sounds – Compendium, or SSE High Quality Voices. There were quite a few reported bugs in the description. Not sure if this mod is worth trying, but I will keep it on during all my tests for each load order.] (Maybe)12. Sorting, menu, player, NPC inventory. 1. Rich Skyrim Merchants - 106KB Adds more gold to all merchants and fences and traders. (Always)2. Main Font Replacement - CENTAUR 34KB Replaces the font in the game. (Always)3. Order My Items – 44KB You can order however many items with a configurable fee and a configurable stocking time. The configurables can be adjusted in the MCM. (Always)4. Self-Filling Bookshelves – 8KB Menu that pops up when activating a bookshelf, can sort by size, color, and alphabetically.13. Cheat items. 14. Character model replacements. 1. Total Character Makeover – 219.1MB Overhauls NPCs faces with a slew of mods. (8 – large file size, although this would affect the entire game)15. Weapons, armor, clothing addons or additions.I have not included many armor mods as I am satisfied with Immersive Armors in itself. I have included a few armor mods that are top quality but look on the Nexus to see if you find any more you like. Every armor mod that is NOT an ALTERATION/RETEXTURE will fit into category 15, the order SHOULDN’T matter. 1. Bandolier - Bags and Pouches Classic - 15.9MB Adds pouches, bags, and Bandoliers that add carry weight. (Always) 2. Open-Face Guard Helmets – 547KB Makes guard helmets open so you can see their beautiful faces. (Always) 3. Immersive Armors – 1.0GB Currently this mod adds 55 new sets of armor to the game (over 60 including variants), tons of additional non-set helmet options, 396 new shields, and a large number of other items such as eye patches, capes, earrings, scarves and more! There are 2693 files in all. They are all craftable, upgradable, enchantable and are integrated into the game through leveled lists, quest rewards, placement in dungeons and/or onto specific people. (Always) 4. Immersive Weapons – 430.5MB Currently this mod adds 230 new weapons! They are craftable, upgradable, enchantable as appropriate. They are integrated into the game through leveled lists, vendors, placement in dungeons and onto specific people. (Always – Do not use this mod if using Legacy of the Dragonborn, there will be duplicates, not many, but enough to break the game) 4. Immersive Weapons Patches – 620KB (All-In-One) / 3KB (Bjiin’s NPCs and Bjiin’s Warmaiddens – NOT AIO) Patches: Advanced Adversary Encounters, Arrows and Bolts Tweaks, Bjiin’s NPCs, Bjiin’s Warmaiddens, Dignified Elders, Diversity – An NPC Overhaul, Men of Winter, Smilodon – Combat of Skyrim, Skyrim Revamped – Complete Enemy Overhaul, Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, Wildcat – Combat of Skyrim, and Windsong Immersive Character Overhaul. [Requires Immersive Weapons + Patched Mod] 4. Immersive Weapons Dwemer Control Rod CTD FIX – 2.2MB Does what it says. 5. Cloaks and Capes – 43.8MB Adds fur cloaks and capes, craftable at the tanning rack. Hold cloaks will be worn by guards, enemy bosses will wear matching color cloaks, and guilds will wear cloaks with their insignia. (10 – not the most necessary of mods, but if you have space, it would be immersively cool) 6. Better Arch Mage’s Robes – 1KB Improves the enchantment on the Arch Mage’s robes. (Always) 7. Amulets of Skyrim – 25.5MB Adds over 230 amulets and rings into Skyrim. There are: 9 hold amulets, amulets for soldiers and officers, guild amulets, rings from the main quest, daedric amulets, birthsign amulets, other amulets for quests and dungeon types, amulets for the Dawnguard DLC and the Dragonborn DLC. (Always – there is a patch for Legacy of the Dragonborn that adds a jewelry case for all these amulets and rings) 8. Zero Frost’s Mythical Armors and Dragon – 77.4MB (DragonLord Armor) / 42.8MB (Jormungandr Dragon) / 100.4MB (Nightingale Prime Remastered Armor) / 97.5MB (Valkyrie Armor) 3.1MB (Hotfix for DragonLord Armor) / 3KB (Valkyrie Armor Hotfix) DragonLord Armor: Adds a new set of armor, shield, and weapons that can be found in a chest outside of the Silent Moons Camp. Fans of Berserk and Dark Souls might like this one. It can also be forged and upgraded under the Dragon category. It is male only. Valkyrie Armor: Adds a new set of armor, shield, and weapons based on Norse mythology. It is female only. It can be found outside the Silent Moons Camp in a chest, next to the DragonLord Armor chest. It can be crafted and upgraded under the Steel category and requires the Advanced Armor Perk (Ordinator/Perkus Maximus compatibility?). Nightingale Prime Remastered Armor: Adds a STAND-ALONE version of the Nightingale armor. It is for both male and female. Can be found in a chest outside the Nightingale Hall. Is craftable and upgradable under the Misc. category, requires the original Nightingale vanilla armor as a component and a level of 32+. Jormungandr Dragon: Adds a summonable dragon inspired by Norse Mythology. He has two attacks: Wildfire/Foxfire Breath: green flame that burns longer and causes more damage, mostly used against other dragons, and Wolfsbane: a purple ball of ice and fire that hits a large area. The spell tomes are found at the Talos statue in Whiterun. Requires an apprentice conjuration skill to summon. My thoughts: file sizes are VERY large but warranted for the amount of detail in these armors/weapons/shields/dragon. I will not be getting this, but if you can afford the file size, then go ahead. I also think that these are too OP as they are too easy to get. The dragon summon is awesome though. One big flaw, they are not compatible with beast races. Not sure about Elven races. (For you, Always, but for me, not with this limited memory) 9. King Crusader Megapack – 105.3MB Adds the DCR - King Crusader Armor, Locust Spell, and Blade Set Reloaded. My thoughts: file size is too large. This mod looks absolutely phenomenal! I would get it if it offered 2K or 1K variants to cut down on that file size. (For you: Always. For me: Never.) 10. Royal Armory – New Artifacts – 1.0MB (Base) Adds unique weapons to some important NPCs in Skyrim. You can kill them for the weapons or pickpocket them for the weapons, but some are unobtainable in general. (Always) 11. Staff of Sheogorath – 12.0MB You can start the quest by looking in the horker’s mouth in the Winking Skeever…. Works with Legacy of the Dragonborn. (ALWAYS – all hail the mad god!)16. Crafting related mods.2. Skyrim Recycling - 29KB Break down junk at a smelter. (Always)3.
