[Automatron] Visual glitches after modyfing robot companion

Hello, I have a very strange glitch after completing Automatron DLC.

Finished it for the first time and I've discovered that I can modify all my bot companions, not only Ada.

I've picked Curie and made her an Assaultron body.

Everything was working fine until I've quick saved and quick loaded.

Then she's got this strange glitches all around her:

Strange sentry headlight emitting from her head that cuts my FPS in half and some electric visuals.

Bug persists through saves and doesn't go away even when I restart the game.

The only thing that removes that bug is when I use Robot Workbench on my companion.

Tried modyfing other companions like Ada, Codsworth with Assaultron body and bug still occurs.

I've even installed a mod that removes Sentry headlight but still it doesn't help.

This is my load order set by LOOT:

Is there any fix for that? Or should I say goodbye to robot companions with assaultron body?

I've tried looking via google for help but there are mostly reports from console users that didn't help me at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have exactly the same bug with the red head light and electricity showing in Ada's hands and feet. This seems to also be a very common bug as there are many posts about this. However I haven't yet found a solution. The "head light -problem" goes away with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17518?tab=description (which u already probably downloaded) but the electricity stays unfortunately. Could it be the Unofficial Fallout 4 patch that causes this as it appears to be quite common problem? Wouldn't want to uninstall UFO4P as it is so important. I would greatly appreciate help too.

Not meaning to gravedig, but I just had this problem recur and thought I should share the only solution I've found to work:

1) Open console.

2) click affected character and ensure refid is visible.

3) Disable character using command "disable" without speech marks.

4) If character disappears, ensure refid is still visible and then close console.

5) Fast travel or otherwise move to other, non-loaded cell.

6) Wait a minute or so to ensure old cell is unloaded from memory.

7) Open console. Refid should still be visible.

8) Re-enable character using command "enable", again without speech marks.

9) Enter command "moveto player" as above.

10) Character should now reappear with no visual errors.

11) Close console and save game.

Worked like a charm! Thanks so much!

I know this is a pretty old thread, but thought I'd quickly explain what happened with me, just in case others are having the same problem. I found this thread, read through, and thought.. "what if I just fast travel?" and I went from the Global Weather Control System Test Site (from Vivid Weathers) to ArcJet Systems, and boom. Problem solved! So maybe the above solution works, but try just fast traveling first to see if that clears it up :) good luck!
