So I've had this misty, white aura following me around for a while now. At first i didn't mind but it really messes up my view from first person, especially in confined places. So far i've tried:

-Command Showracemenu to change race

-Sexchange removes the visual effect but returns when i enter first person

-Fast travelling

-Selecting the effect and disabling (couldn't find a ref ID for it)

None of these attempts were successful however. I think the aura first appeared after defeating a Villain from wars in Skyrim (maybe it's meant to be a good aura? i don't know) It's possible that it could have activated one of these spell effects but i don't know which one. Any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated or if anyone is experiencing the same problem.

Thanks

Hey guys,

I've had this problem for a very long time. I have searched long and hard for answers. Even contacting Bethesda resulted in no response. This effect is known for staying on the character. There is no console command to remove it. To solve this problem, we are going to hope that someone will find out how to remove the effect out of the very coding of skyrim. I would be 100% OK with never seeing it again on any character in skyrim, especially my own. I have asked if anyone knows how to destroy the code that allows this effect to exist and no one does.

I plan to continue searching for my game is past 300 saves and starting over is not an option. I need to fix the issue rather than ignore it. If anyone comes up with anything PLEASE share it. It is so disappointing to have something like this happen.

I've got a similar issue but mine is different from yours. It's a dark aura or something.

The aura can barely see in screenshots so I recorded two videos.

By the way,I think it's pretty cool so I don't really mind having this aura around my character. lol

Mine wasn't as bad as yours but ENB settings got rid of it for me, Maybe "Imaginator" Might do the trick....... http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13049...... Did you check your "Active Effects" hope this helps.

****SOLUTION!!! FIXED!!!*****

I found a fix that worked for me. I had the exact effect as shown in liams366's 'wispmother.jpg' above.

Go to this link:

http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/872861-tutorial-removing-unwanted-magic-effects-from-the-player/

Scroll down/search for 'wispmother', it should be near the top. In the picture, the effect is white, but for me it was kind of turquoise; I've heard of it also being darker. It still worked like a charm, just follow the easy instructions. ALL props go to STEVE40  YOU ARE THE MAN, STEVE!
