NuveroticMods
I want to take all of my mods into TESVedit and manually carry over all changes from ALL mods I use, into one single Overhaul mod. Obviously, Iâd have to change where files point to so they no longer require other ESPs and ESMs, and Iâd have to merge all my scripts, meshes, textures etc into one data folder But is this even possible? Iâve been REALLY getting into TESedit lately and thought it would be nice to get all changes into a single ESP so I wasnât worrying about conflicts anymore. And then I can uninstall Skyrim when not in use, and instead of worrying about all the hullabaloo of reinstalling, re-ordering, and patching mods upon reinstall, I could simply drop my mod in my game and go. Again, Iâm not sure how feasible this is since I donât work with scripts much, but with TESedits, Animations, textures and meshes it should be doable right? DarkRudra
I recommend you do NOT try to do this. There are a lot of issues with combining mods that can cause them to break. It can be done, but a massive single overhaul like that should only be attempted by someone who knows exactly what they're doing and, no offense intended, it does not sound like you are at that point yet. Instead, look up the utility called Merge Plugins and read the documentation on it. It's a utility that is designed for combining mods along these lines and handles most issues that can arise automatically. It doesn't handle everything though, so some manual conflict resolution can be needed. Also check the Nexus wiki's page about merging plugins and read over that. Be aware that combining some mods may break them entirely, though. There are some that uses scripts that look for a specific ESP name to exist or for a specific ESP to have a specific record with that record having a specific form ID number. Merging those mods, even with Merge Plugins, can result in renumbering form IDs, causing the latter case to break.
NuveroticMods
I dumbed down my explanations because Iâm on my phone and didnât want to type that much. Iâm not an EXPERT with TESVedit but Iâm pretty good with it. Iâm far beyond the basic UTD cleaning. I use Merged Plugins. I also make a merged patch then make a custom patch after that manually carrying over changes I want that the merged patch didnât catch. Then of course I make a Bashed Patch. But this still doesnât carry over all changes as you know and leaves a lot of conflicts or overwrites. Thatâs why I want to create the singular mod. But I get what youâre saying and to be fair it probably is outside my scope of modding.Maybe I should use all my NPC replacers and start there. Making a single ESP out of those. chobibogamer
If it's just npc replacers, I guess you could.
