Changing weapons?

Is there a quick way to change weapons, and to/from spells? I've assigned weapon A, weapon B, spell A and spell B to the favourites list. Every time I want to switch weapon/spell in combat, I gotta open the favourites menu, scroll to find the correct set? Pausing every 10 seconds really ruins the immersion in combat, is there a better way that I'm not familiar with? At first I thought it was my keyboard not working but it seems they removed the hotkey system in Oblivion. o_O

In Skyrim we have a similar hotkey system like in Oblivion, the only difference is the way how we assign the items, (weapon/spell/shout/potion), to the keys.

You need to select every item/weapon/spell/...... that you want as favorite, and then open the favorite menu and assign a key [1,8]
