wass41
I'm trying to launch skyrim se from the skse64 launcher however, an error pops up telling me that I am running an old version of the game. So are there any previous versions of SKSE64? I know that updating the game will solve this issue but I cant (for a reason that I dont want to get in to). WastelandAssassin
only what you can find on the SKSE pageif you aren't running the latest version of SSE , just update it to the latest version
Sticz
There is a Youtube video easily searched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCky4RA_9LE This will allow you to find a version compatible with the version of SKSE you are using. You should, however, follow the instructions above and download the most recent version of SKSE. You should only need to load old versions of the executable when SKSE has not caught-up with an updated game. Sticz
wfandrews
I know this is a necro but I just had to say something; something like "read the OP's post!" He is not looking for the latest version of SKSE64, he is looking for one of the older versions that will be compatible with the version or SSE that he currently has. I quote "I know that updating the game will solve this issue but I cant. (for a reason that I don't want to get in to.) I imagine he is running a pirated version and thus cannot update it. I could be wrong of course but that is the only reason i can think of that would stop him from updating the game.

I think we all understand what the OP is asking forand that is what we've tried to answer as for why they can't update the game , we don't know and thus won't assume any specific reasonmaybe their connection is terrible , and they can't download a large update? maybe they have a limited internet plan , and they don't want to waste it on a needless CC update?we don't know , and we shouldn't go on a witch hunt based of a vague sentence that could mean a few different things as a small side note , writing something in a thread that hasn't seen any "action" in a week isn't necroing a thread (at least in my opinion)a month? maybe , but a week is well within reason , so don't worry about that part (unless a different staff member tells you otherwise)
wfandrews
only what you can find on the SKSE pageif you aren't running the latest version of SSE , just update it to the latest version I guess this is what confused me. You are correct about me speculating as to why he cannot update to a newer version; I should not have done so. Never have been sure just what necroing a thread entails, whether it is strictly a time thing or also has to do if whether a thread has been, for all intents and purposes, closed. WastelandAssassin
don't worry , if a thread is closed , you won't be able to post in it . it will simply be locked for you (you could still read it , but not comment) as for the definition of necroing a page , I don't know if there is a specific time defined (I haven't seen any specific time , but I may have missed it) . so it might be a bit open to interpetationjust use common sense , and nothing wrong should happen as for assumptions , I try not to do so , as there are always things I'm not aware ofwhich is why we aren't going on witch hunts here . if someone admits to doing something illegal (or against the terms of service) , they will be punished for it . but I doubt anyone here is actively looking to ban users , especially without good evidence
