thomasv333
Lucid: Dude chill out with the attitude, the people here are using their free time to try and help you. I almost didn't reply to your topic because people that yell at those who are trying to help them REALLY PISSES ME OFF. But any way, most of the comments I've read are good general advice to go by when trouble shooting CTDs and random hangups. I'd like to add that you should try FCOMhelper even though you are not running FCOM, it can still greatly improve your load order. My game went from a CTD every 1/2 hour to a CTD every 4-6 hours after using it. This is of course assuming your using OBSE, and OBMM. Good luck
HouseAtlantic
the link you gave seems to be broken, obse is a must for using FCOMHelper?
luceid
OBSE is a must for some of my mods, so I use it anyway. So I've given it a try. What I did forget: Yeah, my LO in the OP was quiet laughable, f.e.: The Koi-Carp addon running before the actual alive waters.esp and so on.I've tweaked the LO by myself a bit, but the FCOM helper is a very handy tool, even without FCOM.Maybe I should reinstall everything and start using FCOM, we'll see. Indeed, I was a little shot-tempered (correct expression?) I want to excuse myself for that. Before I'Ve started this thread, I tried some things. After the thrid CTD within 30 Minuten Spielzeit, I knew it was a major problem, so I asked myself:"Driver-issues?" "Temerparture?", "Do the other games work?"After a benchmark and playing Crysis for two hours, stable, i knew the temperature, the drivers, etc. couldn't be the problem. After short-playing my other atm installed games (Civ IV, VtM: Bloodlines, Medieval II, Mark of Chaos), also stable, I was sure, that's an Oblivion-only problem. As it's mentioned in the OP (openning post): I've waited two days before starting this thread, trying to fix it on my own.But as also mentioned: I'm kinda new to Oblivion and it's mods, that's the weak point here.Sure, I could have mentioned (btw: I don't don't get along well with the english tenses, please show some understanding) that I'm running Oblivion on XP, not Vista or that I use a Quadcore, but for myself I found these information (plural with "s" or w/o "s"?) unnescesary, because I was sure at this moment it's no system problem at all.Of course bben46's tips are great and nice for most of the people. But they were not what I had expected.Sorry for being so rude :(

luceid
the large load of mods you useing mate its hard to beleive that there isnt going to be any confilicts Psycho Actually this aren't that many mods, but many of them consist out of several pieces, e.g. deadly reflex, NPCs with jobs, a.s.o.Some people are talking about ~150 mods running, without any problem, so it's possible. And as said before: There were no problems, until "that day".I'Ve been even using Red Sonia without SI :whistling: I had no problems with her, except together with Viconia (they don't like each other), but the Ring of Companionship Mod solved this very well.(Small question: I couldn't find anything about it, why is SI required suing this companion?I don't want to buy/use SI, because it alters the main esm, which will undoubtly destroy my game or at least on or two beloved mods I guess) Maybe I should purchase SI, don't know, or try the whole FCOM thing. HouseAtlantic
An old friend of mine had to uninstall and get rid of KotN and SI to make their mod work while constructing it. It was a problem with dialog and a horse walking in circles. As far as playing a finished product with SI and KotN installed, I've never had any problems, but, scripting isn't my thing so I won't have to worry about problems with making them work. OBSE plug-in is a different story, maybe that's the real problem some are having with it.. You'll want to check the descriptions and user comments on those script extender mods. Without obse everything works fine for me and I'm using the same size mod list as you
luceid
Are there any topics here on the board about SI and mods?I didn't find anything, or my english is to bad to find the right search terms. From what I've heard SI is a well-done Add-On, but causes major problems with mods due altering the main esm. Things like OBSE mods are almost a must have.On the other hand... these "news" are several months old, maybe something changed  edit: OBSE-Site says "v0015 provides official support for: Oblivion & Shivering Isles build 1.2.0.416"So now it's just a question of mods.
