armanite
Hey, I'm currently working my first mod where I'm making a house for my characters. I went for a small spot on the mountain above Hamvir's Rest where there are two hunters stationed/camped, so before I got to work I removed the NPCs and everything around that would interfere so that the area was clear. As soon as I was close to finishing the exterior around the house I logged in on my main character to check in on the place and here's the problem; there's a campfire halfway into the wall of my house and a hunter there and none of those show up in CK. And it seems it's only related to my main character, as I logged in on another character (who hadn't been in that area before but my main has) and there was no campfire nor hunter. I don't have any idea to how I can fix this problem at the moment, or if it's even possible as I probably think it has to do with the fact that my main character has been in that area before I started working on the mod. But any help is appreciated!
David Brasher
You are absolutely right. You have the correct answer:it has to do with the fact that my main character has been in that area before I started working on the mod. Savegames store large amounts of data. In many cases, when you are testing a mod you are building, you have to load your game from a different cell and then travel to the work site, wait three days or whatever for everything to spawn, play-test with a character who has never been to the area, or in extreme cases, start a new character. Is there any chance that campfire can despawn over time though or anything I can do on my main character to revert the effect? Thanks.
