LE Eragon Mod Request

I have just finished reading the 4th book of Christopher Paolini's Inheritance cycle about Eragon. I REALLY enjoyed this series, I have an idea for a mod. I have done some research and it seems a group of people tried to do a mod like this but has since abandoned it.

If anybody is willing to take on this mod, here is some ideas:

 

1.) Like the books, the dragon riders had their own personal sword, it would be a cool idea if the mod allowed people to create their own sword with various colors and designs to choose from ( Different hilts, longer or shorter swords, different blades).

 

2.) Having dragon eggs that could hatch for you, with a one time customizable dragon to become your own. (only allowed one dragon).

 

3.) The ability to use the ancient language, maybe have the ability to map out commands on your keyboard ( Not entirely sure how this would work, but hopefully people can start sharing some ideas in this forum ) .

 

4.) Another type of bar to go with the health bar. A energy bar, when using spells and fighting, your energy could go down were the only way to fill it back up is to sleep. Also being able to draw from animals energy and take it (taking to much could kill them).

 

5.) The ability to put power in gems ( such as Belt of Beloth the Wise, the gift Brom gave Eragon so that he could store and withdraw energy whenever he wanted.

 

6.) And of course, the ability to mount dragons. ( Maybe have a dragon riders guild :D ).

 

Hopefully somebody could make this mod, or at least individual mods containing the 6 parts of the mod up top.

Ex: Making a mod for mounting dragons

 

-If anybody was really serious about this and wanted to add monsters, could add Urgals, Razzac, Enemy magicians, Shades and maybe priest of Helgrind.

If your reading about this mod but you have no idea what Eragon and the inheritance cycles is, i highly suggest you pick up the first book "Eragon".

 

Anybody have ideas to add to the mod? Add a comment in the forum :)

you have some good ideas i was also thinking about an egg customizer as well to match your custom dragon. i also had an idea about the linked minds of the dragons and riders. in addition i was thinking about cut scenes as well it'd take time but im willing to do it. i hope we can get more people to do it.

I'm an expert in dragon lore and history, so I will give you some advices ^^

That should surely hard to do and... maybe the faction can have his own forge to do this... but that sound a little strange for the lore (imagine if they are very numberous, that can be hard) Maybe, in the faction, some will be dragon rider, and have a special armor and weapon for their high rank.

If you plan to do this mod without destroying the lore of Elder Scroll, I must tell you. Dragons in Elder Scroll don't have eggs. They are born in time by Akatosh.

I know haha! It doesn't look like this mod will be done.

Monstaflux had a forum going but I'm pretty sure he has stopped for a while now. There was another forum for making it but has long since died.

I could suggest some ideas that I could help with. You could have it that Eragon, the elves and Saphirra crossed the ocean in search of a place to find the eggs.He finds Tamriel. He meets the dragonborn in Windhelm if Stormcloak or Solitude if Imperial and learns there are dragons here. Eragon and Saphirra can be companions but I dont think there is any way to have dragon eggs. The swords would be doable but why have a riders sword when not a rider? The other mods you spoke of already exist. We just need a team of people and mods to make an adaptation mod. Yes I am a modder. Email me at [email protected] if you want to talk about it more
