Luky ducky
The Imperial City is supposed to be the Empires heart of power but when you look at it it isn't really that big or spectacular cities like Vivec from Morrowind were a lot larger and had more things to do in them but in Oblivion the cities just aren't that good and i think Bethesda could of done a much better job of making the IC when i found out that Oblivion was in Cyrodiil i thought that it would be great to visit the imperial city but was disappointed when i found out how small it was. Aerin Morth
Try the Better Cities mod, it improves all of the cities, and some parts of the Imperial City, as well. If you have a really good computer, then you can even use Open Better Cities, which is Open Cities and Better Cities combined. Both are excellent mods. However, if you're running an outdated computer, you'll get lag with either of the mods. I have a fairly powerful computer and I still get slight lag in the cities. Ooh, thanks for this ;) I was using Open Cities but now I'm gonna use Open Better Cities, nice. Is there a mod to increase the general population of Cyrodiil? For instance, the market place is almost empty, when you'd expect it at midday to be full.. Glue
You could also try Lynges Thieves Highway. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10256 It doesn't really affect the ground level too much so there's a good chance it won't conflict with Open/Better cities. I can't promise that though, its been a while since I used it. If it does you could CS it all happy again anyway. It won't change the IC in an obvious drastic way but it does open up another dimension to the city.
Kresselack
The imperial city is not very dense. There are practically no alleyways. I was expecting something busy like Acre from Assassin's Creed.

Better Cities does not make the city any bigger, it just adds a lot of junk into the city making it look even worse than it already is.There are a lot of really good mods out there, some are better then others and some just totally screw up the game. madman132
Oh Please stop :D The IC is large enough. You cant take the new Players to a giant City. They will get bored from being lost all the Time. The IC could use some more diversity though, everything looks the same. But the size is alright, its not "realistic", but then you would need a realistic time to find your way around in the City. If you need as much time as you would need in a real City, it would be way too much.Your city would be realistic but boring. No one will want to spent Years to get to know the City inside out. Furthermore, a City with realistic Size would require a insane amount of Work.
