Incandescence Posted May 12, 2012 Share Posted May 12, 2012 Hey, thanks for taking the time to read this :) Just to clarify I'm not making a mod request, I'm just stuck on my project and need a pointer. So, I've decided to start trying to make some mods, give back to the community if you will since I've installed and enjoyed so many myself. I decided to start light, I found a weapon mod (http://noirim.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-499.html) which was popular and thought I'd download it and the CK and have a poke around. So after playing around with this and adding a name in english I found that the GreatSword doesn't work with 2h idle mods, even though it's in the pretty 2h idle mod screen shots o_O (where I got the idea) (http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/15703-4-1335294230.jpg) I've modified the weapon type to be GreatSword and the animation type, etc. in CK (http://i.imgur.com/780HN.jpg) I've looked around the CK for anything related to it elsewhere but I can't find anything that looks like it would be related to how the idle works. I tried changing the weapon type to 1h but that just made the character do the same animation but the sword model didn't move from sheathed on the back. I tried fiddling around with my idle files and comparing to other greatsword's but they all worked fine. I think it's still behaving the same as a GreatAxe, I'm tempted to go around renaming every entry for it to GreatSword instead of GreatAxe, but the optimist in me hopes that Skyrim isn't so silly as to treat it as an Axe instead of a sword based on the name, not the options for it... I don't know. So I'm stuck really :( So I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction? Do I have to edit the NIF's? I'm under the impression those are just 3d models...
