carlosbowser7
i like regular fallout as much as the next guy but i like changing the way the game looks, its almost like fallout is new again, one way i like to do it is by using the winter overhauls, frost or the winter wonderland mod,but im also a glutton for punishment and id like my character to feel the chill of night the hypothermia the damage id like to plan carefully on what i carry a torch? whisky? can i keep going should i camp and get have a warm stew? id like to see some frost on my pip boy, but hey its just an idea to revitalize fallout4. Deleted49413338User
I've thought about this but atm, I wouldn't know where to start to implement it. I haven't learnt scripting yet. And also, dont have the time right now really. The thing I was thinking of though, was to add a spell to weather types of varying magnitude. So, the way Rad storms work, but instead of rad damage, create a spell for cryo damage. It would have to be pretty low damage and constant. You could then add the same spell to static and workshop items like fire barrels, campfires etc but make the magnitude of the spell a number in the minus that is low enough to cancel out the damage being done, even reverse it by adding other spells to the fires. I know radius type spells can be added, the Radioactive barrels is one example. You could also add the cryo damage to water too at a higher level, the same way it has rads damage added to it. Then, add a duration to the damage so it continues to effect you after you exit the water for some time (as your clothes would be wet) Though it might be hard to separate the spell of entering the water vs Drinking it, idk.. I try not to drink dirty water anyway. lol the big workload would be adding the varying cryo resistance to every piece of clothing and balancing it so its realistic. Also, most people would want this if using weather mods such as NAC or something, and there would be countless requests for different armor/ outfit support but people here are good at making quick patches. I msgd Naugrim, the Author of Frost not long ago, he said he is still working on releasing a final huge update to the mod. I wouldn't doubt if something like this might be included. I'm also kinda sure If it was as simple as I think, someone probably would have already done it. The frost on the Pipboy is probably easy.
carlosbowser7
:o i see, i do hope frost does it, or that there is a standalone mode for those who want the regular story still, but yeah it does seem like quite a bit of work
