Michlo
Greetings, all, this is something I've been meaning to ask for a while and now that I'm back in Oblivion thanks to a new computer which allows me to finally see Oblivion as it was intended I shall ask it now. Wow, that was a long winded sentence. Right, I have a fair few mods, one of which is the wonderful "Let the people drink". Down by the water source, I find a great big castle with all sorts relating to alchemy. At first I thought it was the Glenvar Castle because the balcony section is named with that but then I recalled that I saw this the last time I played Oblivion and I'm almost certain I didn't have that castle then. Next, I finally found the entrance down in the water and it is called Elven Rumare ruins or something like that (I'm at work). The reason I'm asking is because the castle is a little, umm, disturbed, presumably by the Let the people drink mod. Some of it is clipped, other parts seem overwritten, etc. Have any of you experienced this and if so, do you know how I may fix it in order to see the castle as it was intended? Cheers. bben46
There is an older mod called Castle Rumare That one is down by the lakeside. The one near the top of the aqueduct is Glenvar Castle. The instructions for Let the people drink say to load Glenvar Castle before Let the people Drink. If in doubt, disable anything that is located in that area to see which one is interfering. Thanks for your vast knowledge Bben! Ok, so I have a related question I hope is ok here. I have the lovely Valus View Estate Mod, formally named "Naheema Player Home". After I installed "Let the People Drink" I'm having a lot of clipping problems and I'm just wondering if the load order might fix this one also? It's on the outside of the property closest to the city walls, which ends up giving me flying horses and invisible ledges and things like that. I guess I'll experiment a bit, but I hope I can manage to keep both! Any thoughts you have are welcome!
bben46
I'm not familiar with that mod. But, go ahead and try. Usually loading a problem mod near the bottom of the load order helps unless it actually changes something that it shouldn't - such as a mesh or texture used by another mod. I had a couple of problems -- I had recently installed cobl, and I forgot to change the version of LTPD to the Coblized version.. So I did that, and then changed LTPD to load as one of the first mods in my list of about 150 mods, and I made the Naheema Player home load near the end. All is now working perfectly! Thanks for your help, it would have been a lot harder without the clues you provided to the original poster!
Michlo
I shall add my thanks, also. I shall test this out when I get home. :) Cheers.
