Edg3k
Hey again guys, sorry to bother you all, AGAIN with this crap. But heres the problem Im having, and its two fold! I was told a little hint for creating better FaceGens for NPCs in skyrim, this is it(0. If you want to use existing NPC's preset: use c_striker's Expanded Skyrim Presets (link in description) or in creation kit check "Is CharGen Face Preset" and add this preset to the race you need.)1. Ingame use "showracemenu" console command and make a face with all features.2. Finish character creation and type "savepcface <filename>" (any name you want, without <>).3. In CK open actor you wanna edit and there will be "Import" button in Character Gen Parts tab.4. Import your saved pc face (it will be .npc file).5. Click OK, highlight your actor and press Ctrl+F4.6. Save the .esp. Now this worked a charm but I ran into a small error, the area between the neck and the body seam seems to be stretched and you can see through the body. Its like a break in the body. The neck is floating above the body. Its only a small break but noticeable. Anyone know how to fix this? Then we have problem 2, which started with this one. I was trying to get Warpaint to show up. I was told by someone who managed to get it to work, same guy who told me about the above fix, that if i did it this way i could also add the warpaint, so i tried, and, nothing! The scars show up no problem but the warpaint is still missing. Its obvious it can be done but I must be missing something.I dont want to use Skyrim NPC editor because it wont let me save into an ESP that I'm already using (if it can tell me how) Yes i know Im a massive nub at this but I hope someone can help..Thanks all Edg3 PS : Ive included the .npc file I created for Lydia where the neck seam is most noticeable. I've have included a screenshot, but i deleted the mod i was working on out of frustration. If you import it you can see what I mean.
missjennabee
I dont want to use Skyrim NPC editor because it wont let me save into an ESP that I'm already using (if it can tell me how) Your process for importing the .npc file is correct. I'll download your file and give it a quick spin to see if I can track down your issue... but I'm not sure what you mean by the above? You CAN edit\save into an .esp that you're already using, unless I misunderstand what you mean by "using"? UPDATED: Ok, so I did that - and I didn't have any problems with a neck seam, or floating head, etc. http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj502/missjennabee/TEST1.jpg Obviously I uploaded and ran this without any custom textures, so my best guest is that you might be having an issue with a skin\face texture on import. Would need a little more info.
Edg3k
totally forgot I posted this because it was so long ago. I actually figured out the issue a while back, problem turned out to be the weight. It differed between my character where I exported the head and the character I imported it onto, I dunno why, so what I started doing now is getting the NPC weight before hand, then setting my characters weight appropriately, then when I'd export the .npc file it'd be the same weight and the 2 textures would combine at the neck. Thanks for checking it though, i appreciate you doing so. On another note I also figured out why the warpaint wasnt appearing, was due to XCE complete pack, long as I remove it before editing the warpaints show up. How do you save into an ESP your already using? My NPC editor is buggy as hell at the minute, its loading everything and not letting me access the mods I want to load like it used to. Again, thanks for looking into it. I think it was just me messing up, as usual :)
