Recommend a good face mod for female.

Hi, guys. I want to start playing New Vegas as a female for the first time, but the face presents are so ugly, I want something special. Any good mod for a more beautiful face? Thanks in advance.

Try looking through the save game section of mods. There are some good ones there. Most important is to use a face texture replacer. I would think some of the better save games give links to the texture they use, if any.

Nice choice, she makes good faces. I use one of her faces from fallout 3 as my companion...

Well, I'm biased towards my own Asgardian faces. Especially I use face female face 2 in my screenshots lately. (And male face 1 is even my avatar.) Although I made it actually for the male faces. But then, you know, I'm not exactly an unbiased source there :P

 

For stuff made by other people, hmm, there are some good choices out there.

 

The She race from the Shojo project is actually pretty nice, and it's actually an adult race. (The brows glitch for me in NV though, although the same race back-ported to FO3 has no such glitch. Curiouser and curiouser, said Alice.) I think many people don't even look that far if they don't want to play a kid, which is a pity, because, as I was saying, there's an adult race in there too.

 

Ling's Coiffures also comes with some pretty nice raider faces. Problem is, though, Ling's is a pain to find lately >.<

 

The Moon Shadow elves look pretty too, though for some reason I never got to play it much myself.

Thanks for your great suggestions. I have bookmarked them and I'll try them soon. Judging by the screenshots they looks fantastic. Oh, and a kudo from me for inclding a non-Lings version since I don't use it. ;)

Well, especially for women, I'd actually recommend getting Ling's if you can. Without it, you'll only have the default haircuts that shipped with the vanilla game. Which are ok, I suppose, but nowhere near as good as those in Ling's.

You do realize there are other hair mods out there besides lings? Nothing against that mod, just saying.

Actually, I am aware. I'm also saying though that custom races will not be affected by mods which modify only the default races. If a custom race only is enabled for the Ling haircuts, it will only use those from Lings, regardless of whate else you may have.

 

The Asgardians are exactly in that situation, for example. Either you use the Ling enabled version and Ling's, or you ARE stuck with the default haircuts.

 

Well, that or you do some dragging and dropping in the GECK yourself to make those haircuts available to that race.

 

But basically, trust me, I'm not saying that because of being too dumb to know there are other hair mods (I have some 3-4 right here), but because I know exactly what I dragged into what listbox when making those :P
