ashwolff
I suck at modding, but love what some of you hardcore gamers come up with. I'm looking to hire a modder in the near future to recreate 'Gondor' from Lord of the Rings. Using vanilla Skyrim elements that I will be listing, as well as requirements for buildings, I would like to have it close to the same basic layout of the white city. I'm not sure how Nexus handles soliciting, but I will be paying for this mod. I need to see examples of your work prior to deciding. Payment upon completion of the mod. Korodic
Well I doubt you'd really be able to pay what it would take to make it. Nexus rules I'm not sure of aside... These things take hours. And if you're paying me by the hour it could be a few hundred bucks (without any type of slacking). Now I would love this as a summer side-job :P However it just seems like a lot of money. Especially if you wanted have someone create new 3D models and textures.
ashwolff
True. Perhaps I just need to try and learn modding myself, as my limit of payment for this thing was $300. Ugh... concentrating is hard to do :P
Korodic
If you speak English and have a microphone, I'd be willing to teach you privately for free (but I accept tips ;P).
ashwolff
I will keep that in mind as I do... and I have... and would listen... and most probably would. Should my discouragement get the better of me, I will take you up on it.
Korodic
Well if you are serious just PM me your skype name or steam ID. Note if you don't have skype, you'd need a program like teamviewer or google+ so I can see your screen (makes telling you stuff easier when we are looking at the same thing). GoodfellowGoodspring
If your planning on doing the majority of the work yourself, i would suggest you start with something more simpler like creating a player house with grounds etc to get used to modding and the controls. If you are making MT then the pieces you use will need to be white which will need to be recolored or new meshes entirely. Using Skyrim's existing models would be pointless IMO as it wouldnt look like the city at all. I remember a project from Oblivion which i googled and this came up so it must be the same city which i saw in some screenshots, the whole model looks like it was made in a program and exported to the Construction Kit as it would take months/years to peice every part of the city together! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtNgyo9olxE Edited May 14, 2012 by GoodfellowGoodspring
