It seems that after about 15-20 minutes, my Skyrim will start to crash. Now it's been crashing every time I go near Whiterun. I've verified integrity several times and everything is fine. BOSS even lists all of my mods as compatible and no bad notes. Any ideas?

Mod List:

Possible temperature problem with crashing at 10-15 minutes. Check fans, clean dust out, check temperatures of Video card & CPU.

The Whiterun is slightly different - Usually when I see a crash where it is ONLY near a certain place I suspect a mod that was removed. Not one that is installed. Sometimes when you have a save that includes some important object from a mod and that mod is later removed, the game is still looking for that object in that location. and when it can't find it - crash.

To test this try starting a new game - if you have an early save, preferably without many mods right after Helgen that should work. This save probably doesn't reference the missing object. Then travel to Whiterun to see if it crashes or not.

If it doesn't crash, then you get to figure out what it was you removed from the game. One trick is to jump forward about half the way in your save games and test again. This cuts the time when it began in half - either the change was before that save - it crashes, or after that save, No crash. Use this to narrow down to the save where it first happened and see what you had installed just before - and what you have installed just after.

Were all of these mods installed prior to starting a new game? As ben said have you uninstalled any mods on this save? I'd start by disabling Deus Mons and testing. Last I checked Real Wildlife + Skytest had an incompatibility as well. You may try that, disabling Real Wildlife and testing. Edited by Cataxu

I have indeed started a new game and have not installed or deactivated any mods since making that character. It played fine for around an hour before the crashing began. I'm really suspecting that it may be a temperature problem, as my fans and hardware in general isn't the best, but I'm able to run Skyrim on the highest settings, except with shadows on low, and keep a steady framerate of around 25+. Thank you for the help and suggestions, and if you have anymore, it's very much appreciate. :) I'm going to test the Real Wildlife + SkyTEST thing Cataxu. Thank you.

I'm also going to list my hardware below for reference:

Video Card - GeForce 9800 GT 1GB

CPU - AMD Athlon x64 5000+ 2.6ghz

RAM - 4GB DDR2

So yeah, definitely not an admirable setup at all, but it's what I have to deal with for right now. :P

I'm hoping it doesn't boil down to a mod problem or conflict, because I enjoy all of these and found a balance after testing quite a lot.
