Can't find BSA files with fallout mod manager

This is the first time I've ever had to post anything in this forum because I can usually find solutions to my problems by looking at past posts.

Having said that I haven't been able to find anything on fallout mod manager not being able to find BSA files. I'm trying to make some new armor from scratch but I need the character .nif files to do it, apartently i can get these by extracting them from a BSA file located in data\meshes\male but when I look in this folder with the BSA unpacker on the Fallout mod manager i get nothing. Obviously these files must exsist or my version of fallout wouldn't be running but no program seems to be able to even see them let alone extract what I need.

So could someone either send me the .nif files I need or tell me what is going wrong here?

All BSA's are located in the Data directory. The path you mention presumably refers to the file(s) you wish to extract. This is both their location inside the BSA and where they need to be extracted to. I hope this explanation doesn't leave you even more confused... ;)

It's alright I did work it out myself yesterday but by that time I'd already posted. That's pretty much what was going on, I was looking through the data directory then going for the meshes folderand looking in there rather than look in the fallout - meshes.BSA. Feel really stupid for spend so long looking in the total wrong place. Cheers for the answer anyway.

Now to familiarise myself with blender. I'm a graphic desginer but I haven't used any 3D modeling software before so this could be a steep learning curve. Especially as what I'm going for isn't exactly the simplest design. May take a long time but once it's done I'll be posting in on the nexus.

Yeah, I have found that it's not exactly the most intuative piece of software to use from a beginner's point of view. I mean I'm pretty good with photoshop, illustrator, indeasign, fireworks and dreamweaver. That's pretty much all you need for most graphic design, but this 3D modeling lark seems to be a whole different ball game.

Ok, I'll bear that in mind. I'm going through a blender tutorial at the moment, only problem is it seems to be for a more updated version than the one I'm having to use because of all the other verious versions of programs you have to get just to be able to edit .nif files in the damn thing, was a freaking nightmare making sure all the versions matched up and supported each other ready for installation.
