Craytose
So we've all seen it, hacking and smashing away at some npc. And if you're like me and have blood mods such as gorier blood or better oblivion blood or reset the blood decal, there's plenty of that red stuff flying out of your enemies. But just as we're feeling nice and satisfied about hacking our enemies to pieces, mid-fight you notice that one (or in plenty of cases way more than one) of the blood spatters on the wall or ceiling is flickering and flashing around. Talk about an immersion breaker and just plain eye-sore. Doesn't matter which blood mod I use, whether it's adding new blood spatter textures and meshes or whether it's changing shader packages (I've heard that's where the original blood comes from), or whether it's changing the way blood behaves by making it spurt in larger quantities, it's still there eventually. And for me right now, it's there in EVERY fight... :wallbash: Surely to goodness, someone out there has found a way to completely fix this problem. Couldn't one just make all spatter textures/meshes "thicker" so they're not just color on the walls? Isn't there some shading option that causes blood to "always be on top" of whatever it sprays onto? I've tried just about everything and I cannot take care of it, I even created my own OMOD using a blood texture/mesh resource from this site, still doesn't help. I'm begging someone, please help me get rid of this flickering / flashing blood spatter. Maybe someone could make a mod that completely rewrites blood decals and causes them to be applied to surfaces differently, in a way that would make them always on top of the surface until your fDecalLifetime lets them expire. Maybe the fix is something else but surely there's a way to set something up so blood dominates an area 100% of the time until the fDecalLifetime runs out. Thanks in advance for anyone who takes this on or for someone who finally points me to a mod that actually fixes this. While I wait I'll just keep this up :wallbash: .... Also, is it possible that it's a problem like that dungeon flash that is caused by obge liquid water? There's a fix for it now, and even tho you'd think a random light flash here and there in a dungeon would not have anything to do with a water mod, it does because of shaders somehow. Maybe they're related in a way, not saying obge liquid water is the problem, but maybe something similar in that issue is going on with the blood. Just figured out that it's only in interiors also, if that helps. Edited May 14, 2012 by Craytose
Craytose
Also, here's a vid with the problem. Long long description but it may assist in diagnosing the problem.
