thePhilanthropy
Well, as the description implies i have problems with creating proper UV-maps for my model. Texturing and weight-painting wouldn't be a problem, but i lack proper tools and skills for uv-mapping. I have spent too much time already on building the mesh, and if i don't get help the project will probably die soon... So, if someone here is able and willing to help me with this, please PM me and i can send you the neccesary files, and you can be assured to be credited (even for the attempt). Thanks in advance! ihateregisteringeverywhere
You know, I kind of think that he doesn't like those for some reason, which's exactly the why's he just making his own.
Vagrant0
You know, I kind of think that he doesn't like those for some reason, which's exactly the why's he just making his own.Which although admirable, would only serve to further complicate things. As is there's Growlf's, Exnems, Bab, TFF, and all the variations within for various bust sizes. And as each one has their own texturing method, and proportions, you can't easily have one installed and use mods for the other. With Morrowind, there were only 3 body standards, with Oblivion there are 5. Although there is some personal decision in the matter, it does make it harder for modders who are making armor and clothing items, we either need to pick one to go with, or do extra work trying to match every body mod under the sun. ihateregisteringeverywhere
I know what you mean, I'm all for standartization as much as you are. It sure would make things easier. I'd go as far as to say that very best thing would be if bethesda chose a body replacer and released a patch that would make it the vanila standart, offering a refund to the maker of the replacer for his trouble. Naturaly I realize that such a thing will never hapen - oh well. I still feel sorry for the_philanthropy though, effort is effort, nobody wants to waste his. thePhilanthropy
Yeah, i expected this kind of reaction. And given the fact that many modders probably have left the community a long time ago, it's not likely that there will be lots of stuff for a new replacer. But i think this kind of discussion is also way off-topic (no offense). What i need is help with the UV-maps, because i can't get those damn things to look right (overlapping and the like). So please, focus on that, because the replacer is nowhere finished, nor is it certain whether it would gain popularity. People can complain about it once it's released.... Thanks. (and sorry if i sound rude, i don't mean to  )
