Reinstalled Fallout 3 now my mods do not work

Just like the title says I had to reinstall my fallout 3 game thanks to a virus taking out my computer. I had a back up made of my fallout 3 folder before the virus thankfully, so after my computer was formatted back to life I reinstalled the game then switched the folder with my back up copy. The problem is now I cannot use my pip boy at all. I had readius's pipboy mod installed, so I unchecked it thinking that might be the problem. It was not though because even with the regular pipboy I could not use it. I press the tab button or even F1-F3 and it does nothing. It makes a sound then my character flashes, but that is it. I turned off my archive invalidation and I can use my pipboy again, but then of course all the textures I have for my mods become purple.

The other problem I have might be linked but I am not sure. I have the shojo race mod and it worked perfecty before with the same set up, but now they are all purple faced. The weird thing is if the archive invalidation is off they are regular purple, but with the archive invalidation on they are bright neon glowing purple!

Please help I am at a complete loss as to what to do...

I once tried doing the backup copy thing and it was a complete mess - I suggest you reinstall a clean copy and then install each mod one by one, trying them out in small groups. After you've done that maybe you could try making a merged patch with the FO3Edit program... maybe that could help. I know this would take a lot of time, but that way you make sure everything's working fine and you could narrow down which mod is interfering and so on. Sorry I can't be of much help, but this is the only thing I can think of.

ONLY REINSTALL IF ALL ELSE FAILS

The issue you speak of is a minor one which does not warrant ripping out FO3's guts and does not require FO3 EDIT ,due to the nature of the readius mod and its scripting functions thanks to FOSE ( which you have still got in your folder yes ) simply deactivating its ESP wont remove it cleanly ( real word honest ) i know virus screwed it all up . now you can either try a fresh install of readius mod , or go to readius page and check for the fix to this minor problem it is a simple player add/ player remove

console command input sorry i cant remember the details infact it should even be in the readius readme txt doc

and as for the purple faces it sounds like your missing textures for them could be completely absent or just in wrong location or even not correctly pathed in the esp ( same effect as wrong location ) either way check where they should be and what they should be .

( red diamond and exclamation mark = missing mesh purple whatevers = missing texture )

try that first and post back here if still not sorted but i suspect that should fix it
