MasterDRD
As far as progress on Soul Edge goes, the problem is definitely in the textures, so if someone fixed those and unenchanted the sword it would be fully functional. Of course it would still be useless for practical use until somebody changes the animations... On a side note, it turns out said Soul Edge and Soul Calibur mods are on TESNexus as well as gamespy. OminousVoice
The way I got around the hideous purple glow was to use boxkitten's No Glow a go go mod. It removes the enchantment glows from items and weapons.
Blacksnake89
As do I, I couldn't even sleep until 5:30 last night because of the ideas running through my head... and I'm sure the can of Java Monster, the cup of fountain pop Mountain Dew, and 4 cans of MD: Revolution didn't help either! :DWell anyway the Soul Edge mod I linked to would seemingly contain any source material you need (at least for the sword itself), but... Just dl it and see what I mean. (don't bother with the one-handed version, it doesn't look OR feel right with Soul Edge) There's splotches of purple all over the sword, and unless the anims for two-handed weapons drawn were changed the sword will block half the screen... (at least in 1st person) But yeah, if you can fix the texture/whatever problem with it and (pleeease) unenchant it, it'll be just fine! The sword will be stuck through the heart of the big dragon statue in Talos Plaza, awesomely enough, but you'll need to shoot it with an arrow or jump up and hit it to get it down. Again though, it won't look good in 1st person unless those 3 weapon drawn anims for two-handed weapons are changed, as you won't have half the screen due to the size of the sword. Here is another soul calibur mod you haven't mentioned yet. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12433. As for your request to unenchant soul edge that very easily changed through CS I myself have taken many weapons and un-enchanted or re-enchanted to my liking. However if you take someone elses work such as the soul edge and redistribute it YOU MUST get permission from the creator of the original in order to upload the newer one unless it's a resource and soul edge is not. MasterDRD
I saw that one too, but apparently it's the same as the other one and the pics are misleading.Turns out the problem with the weapon isn't the texture itself, simply the fact it's enchanted and thus has a purple glow, and maybe because the weapon is somewhat thin there's some sort of internal constant glowing effect or whatever. I downloaded the no glow mod, and now it looks perfect! However, it's still enchanted and that should be addressed. (On a side note I did indeed contact the person who made the mod, and as long as credit is given I can use Soul Edge in Project Nightmare. :D) Anyway, how do I unenchant the sword? I don't know how to mod or code or anything, but I can open the esp in a word document and delete the enchant effect if somebody tells me exactly what to delete... On a side note, it turns out the forward power attack is fine as-is, and I guess the back power attack is close enough that it's not terribly important to change. As it turns out when I'd used a power attack while moving forward, I was only doing the standing power attack. After gaining Master in Blade skill, I can now access the REAL forward power attack, which is exactly what I'd intnded to change it to in the first place! Now the only animations that need changing are normal attacks and the standing/walking/running with weapon drawn for two-handed weapons. I'll edit the first post to reflect this as well. I suggest you download the Construction Set if you want to edit .esp's. I wouldn't recommend using anything other than the software designed for it. MasterDRD
Ok, so I should use cs. Still, that doesn't tell me how to unenchant the weapon...? Anyway, I'm still waiting for a response from skycaptain about the Deadly Reflex bits...Aside from that, all we need right now are the weapon drawn animations to be changed, someone to make Nightmare's armor, and (hopefully) Siegfried with Soul Calibur as a 'random encounters' type recurring enemy. If somebody wanted to, they could make the Soul Calibur 3 or 4 Nightmare armors as well, (obviously that involves making the SC4 style Soul Edge too) since the only truly difficult part to make is Nightmare's claw, and all his armor sets have the claw. (in fact, they could just make the 3 or 4 armor set. Then we could use their mesh for the claw and add it to the SC2 armor.) Hell, the only reason nobody's done it yet is because of the claw, so once that's out of the way... :bunny:  :mage: :starwars:
willowwisp
I'm very interested with the progress of this mod. I made a soul edge request not long ago, but also requested Siegfried's sword. (My thread: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=67254) If someone could do that sword too, that would be really awesome.
MasterDRD
Well, we already have Soul Edge... We just need to figure out how to unenchant it. The only hard part I would think to making Nightmare's armor is the claw, so if somebody who can do meshes would just make his claw arm I'm sure any number of modders could do the rest of his armor without any trouble. Siegfried shouldn't be hard to do either, as he's just a muscular human with really long hair in typical steel-looking armor, and Soul Calibur already exists. (though it really needs to be unenchanted and retextured)Once you hit Master in Blade, most of the power attacks are close enough to Nightmare or Siegfried's style to leave them alone. Only the animations for idle, walking, and running with a drawn 2-handed weapon need to be changed, and all 3 use the same exact pose anyway.
