This Game is Unplayable Now

After playing about 95 hours, my game no longer works. I've tried verifying integrity, deleting mods, trying earlier saves, even reinstalling the game, changing the audio settings, none of these have fixed the CTDs. What happens is, I play for roughly 30 seconds after loading my save, then boom crash to desktop. I try to save, it crashes the second it saves or if I wait, it crashes when it would autosave. If I try to enter Whiterun from Jorvaskyrr it doesn't even get to a loading screen it just crashes.

If the file size is any issue, it is roughly 10-12 mb on all of my saves on that character, I've also had issues on a character I've only played an hour on.

I had no issues with the game being this unplayable even when I first lowered my settings to get a higher frame rate (was tired of getting 16-20 fps outside). I had roughly 6 CTDs in my 95 hours of gameplay (edit: all of these were after long sessions of gameplay though) before CTDs happened every 2-30 seconds.

Keep in mind I had no issues running this game for 95 hours before this started happening, so specs aren't an issue here.

Ok... Quick question. Have you used BOSS? I had an issue with crashing every time I tried to play. I downloaded BOSS and ran it. It reorganized the mods so that they work right. That dropped any CTDs I had. If you haven't tried it try it now.

I have been using Boss ever since I got Skyrim.

The Problem could be that the first CTD was just an "ordinary" one, like an overload of data or something like that.

Now that you've deleted all mods, it could just be a faulty savegame thats looking for stuff that isnt available anymore and just crashes then because of false arguments.

Did you try to start a new game? If you did, what Launcher are you using? (Skyrim Launcher or NMM)

Okay, try using the Nexus Mod Manager here -->http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/content/modmanager/

Check the Archive Invalidation under the Tools Tab.

I had some CTD's as well, I will now make a List with things I did (I didnt have Lags/Crashes or Errors anymore):

(I am assuming you use a Windows OS----This List applies for Win Vista and Win 7, I will make a XP Version tomorrow)

- Right-Click the Link and select the "Compatibility" Tab. Now Check the boxes "Disable Visual Designs" and "Deactivate Desktop Design".

- Now check the Box "Execute as Administrator" (at the bottom)

- Now check the Box "Execute in Windows XP Compatibility Mode" and choose Win XP Service Pack 3 (I dont know the exact Names of these boxes, since I have the German Version of Win7)

Now that you've done that, try using the "Custom No Shadow-Fix HD" (Its a mod that disables Shadows, its optional, but you will gain a lot of FPS....it floats around Skyrim Nexus somewhere)

In addition, I re-patched Skyrim (I am now at 1.5.26 and I will not patch my Game anymore lol).

I will check some more things which could cause a CTD, I will write you back tomorrow :D

I should ask before I potentially screw something up, which exe do I do these steps on?

Do you use NMM to download mods? If so, you're probably suffering from the dreaded double ESM glitch. Open up your plugins INI file located in your (appdata/local/skyrim) folder. Look at the top, and check to see if it has two Skyrim.ESM files listed on the plugins list. If so, just simply remove the second one, save and play. If you're a big mod fan, I'd suggest making a shortcut to this file for later need.
